Just an idea I had. The International auto show is in Philadelphia from January 31 to February 8. I was just wondering if anyone else was planning to go or if anyone wanted to make a day trip out of it. The two Saturdays are the 31 or Feb 7, which would most likely be the best days to go.
The next best date and time are for the NY show at the Jacob Javits convention center April 10 - 19.
Post here if you are interested. There are plenty of places in Philly or NYC to grab a bite to eat as well.

I would be up for an excuse to get out of the house and go for a drive. Not necessarily in the Solstice, but I've got a new ride who probably wouldn't mind stretching his legs a little.
Yeah, a Saturday is probably best. I may have other plans for February 7th, but January 31st is currently free.
I'll keep my eye on this thread to see if you can pull a group together.

Jason, we are definitely planning on getting a group together from the LISSC to go to Javits so you are welcome to join us. If the weather is nice I'd be happy to join you guys for the day in Philly also. Just depends on the weather. Keep me updated!
The only problem with taking your Solstice downtown is the parking. At the car lots the cars are right next to each other and sometimes you can't park them yourself the attendant does. When I go to the show I don't drive my Solstice for that reason and also it is like a demolition derby downtown on those little narrow streets of Phila.
For the last 2 years I have parked in a deck and walked the 2-3 blocks to the convention. With the questionable weather I'm not sure I would be taking the solstice either. It's more of a meetup for the people than anything else. The deck I normally use (I think) is on the corner of 8th and Arch. This is a covered deck where you park yourself.

Can't do the NY show - I'll be on Spring Break in NC. Phillie works for me but not Super Bowl weekend - I'll be in NC to wach the game w/ 7angels. So, 8th or 9th is best.
There's nothing stopping two dates for two groups is there?
Maybe the 8th - 9th can be an official destination for the second Sat meeting of the Del. Group?

The philly autoshow and the parking within 4 - 6 blocks of the center is a mad house on Saturdays. I went last year and the year before. Also, don't forget that the streets in that area are full of crater like pot holes this time of year. I wouldn't take my Sol there if you paid me.
And if you're going to actually get a good look at the cars then forget it. Way too many people there on Saturday. Sunday early is much better.
