I have started this thread in order to help Michele and I keep track of who will attend which activities for our MASSC 2008 Solstice in the Skylands Rally on the weekend of June 20th - 22nd.
Please post here to confirm which activities you will participate in, whether you will have a passenger with you, and if you are staying in the Holiday Inn Express or another local hotel overnight. I wil maintain as accurate a list as possible for each segment of the event in the next few posts of this thread.
Please post which of the following events you will participate in:
1. Friday Night Dinner - June 20th, Black River Barn, Randolph, NJ, Time 6:30pm
2. Saturday Run - June 21st, departs Holiday Inn Express, Mt. Arlington, NJ approx. 9:00AM
3. Saturday Dinner - June 21st, Walpack Inn, Wallpack Center, NJ, 5:30PM
4. Sunday Run - June 22nd, includes a quick lunch stop and two winery visits. Departs Holiday Inn Express, Mt. Arlington, NJ approx. 11:00AM and should end by 3:00PM, but there will be opportunities for folks to leave the run route and head home at different stops.
5. For those staying overnight locally in the area, please post which nights you are staying and where.

Dengel, please add me to the list with a guest for dinner on Saturday. We are also spending Saturday night at the Marriott which, I believe, is across the street from the Holiday Inn Express. We may be interested in part of the Sunday runs also. Since you are leaving the Holiday Inn @ 0900 on Saturday, we will have to leave very early to get there. Is there somewhere you are going that might be closer where we could meet up with you? Perhaps we could simply meet you at Wild West for the photoshoot or the Chatterbox for lunch. What do you think your arrival time at those locations will be? We will be coming from the Reading, PA area, probably taking I-80. Thanks!

Schedule is not 100% locked in yet, but we willl probably arrive at Wild West City at 9:30am, be leaving Wild West City to start the run around 10:30 am, and stopping for lunch at the Chatterbox around noon.
Wild West City is just a few miles off of Route 80, exit 25. The Chatterbox is probably about 30 minutes from Route 80, exit 25. Let me know where you think you may be able to meet up with us.

Diane & I are planning the route & itinerary which includes (as a point of interest) NJ's very own "Solstice Stones" Tripod Rock at Pyramid Mountain. However, they are a mile inland so we don't know if anyone is going to want to make this trek.

We also plan on stopping at Wild West City for some shoot 'em up cowboy fun and an authentic group picture which will be submitted for the "western themed" 2009 Solstice/Sky National calendar. The calendar will benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure. We plan to take the pictures between 9:30am and 10:30am. Wild West City is over 50 years old and is styled after Dodge City, circa 1880. It looks old, it feels old and it is old but I'm older. I don't want to mislead anyone into thinking that it is a new style Disney type of amusement park. It isn't.
Friday night:
For those of us who are coming in Friday night, dinner will be at 6:30pm at the Black River Barn. We'll be meeting in the parking lot of the Holiday Inn between 6:00pm and 6:15pm. Here's a web review - Black River Barn

These are a few of the hotel choices in the Mt. Arlington area. (Two of them are right down the street from dengel's house! ) I blocked off 10 rooms at the Holiday Inn for Saturday, 6/21 and Sunday 6/22. The hotel is newly renovated and the general manager Kevin Steib asks that reservations be made by June 5th. The price is discounted to $102 if you prepay. Mention MASSC when you call. Buffet breakfast is included. If you are a member with the Marriot chain, their hotel is right across the street.
We'll be meeting in the Holiday Inn Express parking lot at 9am on Saturday morning.
We need to be at Wild West City by 9:45am.
