Hey Guys and Gals! Some of us from the Sky forum are heading out to Texas Motorplex in Ennis this Friday night for some ¼ mile runs! It’s officially the NHRA Street Legal Night and Sunoco Free Nitrous Night presented by NX.

The track is open from 6:00 to 11:45pm and is $10 to watch and $15 to race.

Lets have a nice group of Kappas to show off!

I’m Jeff and you’ll see me there with an 07 Silver Graphite Redline sporting the RPi exhaust so come say hi.

See ya there!!

p.s. Texas Motorplex - Home of the NHRA O'Reilly Fall Nationals for more info and directions

Sounds like fun. I think I will try to make it.

How hard is it to find a group their? Perhaps PM me with a cell number?

pm sent. what color is your sol? name?

it's not hard really.. there may be a lot of cars there, but it should be easy to see a group of kappas hanging out. if you don't right away, no worries. just park somewhere and watch the action for a while, or just jump in the line and you'll run in to us or we'll see you.

it may be a bit busy, so there will be plenty of time to chat it up with people.

one hundred percent worth it though.. so much fun.

You'll need a helmet if you're 13.99 or quicker. I think they have loaners. Sometimes they will just let you keep running without one if you're not much quicker than that, other times they follow the rules pretty close. Being a soft top though, it's a safe bet that they will make you wear one. Pants and closed toed shoes are usually enforced.

This might actually turn out to be a great night to go.. a lot of people are probably gonna back out of goin with a chance of rain. Weather.com only has rain till 5pm, so we'll see!

See you there!

Thanks.

It amazing to see all these big V8's, sounding all tough and making a big show of it at the starting line and then only do mid 14 (like me). This makes me realize we are prety tough match for the 90% of the cars out their.

I'm thinking the drag strip is going to be my preffered solstice outing.

Hope things are going well.

I was down on power too, found the pipe connecting the intercooler to the throttle body had come loose at the intercooler (apparantly I never tighted the hose clamp).

It still was fun!!!
