Let me just chime in on behalf of the entire behind the scenes group...
THANK YOU to all that voted and let us know what kind of event you want, and THANK YOU again for voting and making it a reality.
As you know.. we haven't been sitting around twiddling our thumbs... we are working on the hotel contract, banquet halls, and planning out events. We certainly hope to make this the best National Event possible.
We will certainly be looking for help and assistance throughout the planning as well as on site during the event. We are hoping that many of the MKC and NEO folks can lend a hand, idea, support, whatever they can spare as we work our way towards June 2010.
Again.. thanks everyone.. and we will be making the calls for help and suggestions as we need.
so call me stupid if you want, but i just read this whole thread from page 1 to page 19, and first of all before i get in to anything specific i just wanna say i think it's awesome Canton won the vote for 2010. i know i'll definitely be there. but what i was left wondering after reading this was, if now that its decided and set in stone for Canton to host, shouldn't this thread be moved to a national area and out of the NEO sub board. this way everyone from across the nation and not just members from here in NEO can pitch in advice and help for the event. even though its in NEO it's still national, so i think it needs to be a little more publicized now, getting the word out. does this make any sense?

Without taking too much away from the discussion of the 2009 event:
understood. i just got so excited about the 2010 meet being in Ohio i completely forgot the 2009 meet still has yet to even take place. my bad. and i see that ive "volunteered" my help for the canton meet. well guys, keep in mind i have no experience planning any events (only enjoying them) and im very young, but if there is anything you think i CAN do, let me know! i start working monday at the Saturn of Mentor dealership as a car salesman so maybe i can have a little publicity spread around to the five locals stores here about the 2010 plans. maybe have them forward a message to anyone who buys a solstice sky from this point forward about attending? i dunno. you tell me. my minds drawing blank. and, ive got my eyes on a very nice 09 ruby red sky sittin in our lot ... i intend on making it mine soon! you can pretty much count me in on bein at the canton meet. and hopefully some runs in the NEO area as well. ive been on a nice 1year hiatus since my mom isnt around anymore () but i cant let that stop me from havin fun now can i?
