That's it?? I need a better headset as well. The last radio set I bought should have let me use my headset with the mic, but it doesn't.

Thanks a ton.. I thought about sending you or Mike a PM, but figured others could use the information.

I found these (the 460's) online for about $42, and the headset for around $11. Not a bad price actually.

I don't get why I never ask here first, it'd save me a lot of time. Thanks for the info.

Yeah, right. Maybe if you're asleep.

Somehow you can still be heard over the wind noise.

The Party Sidewalk just sponsored an event!!

However, The Party Sidewalk may be able to contribute to Oct.'s festivities. Let me see what can be arranged this weekend during a meeting of the minds of delinquents!

Just wanted to advise EVERYBODY of a new "rule"

This rule came about due to a couple of minor incidents at the SEM this past weekend

These "rules and reg's" probably do not apply so much to returning
attendees as they do to the first timers.

#1....RATING YOURSELF (and here's the Mini-rule)

Speed limit signs are posted in white'
Instructional "recommendations are posted on yellow signs..i.e. 25mph)

If you believe these yellow signs are accurate and you should take the curve at 25
then you are a CRUISER

If you believe the yellow signs are a "guide" and you can handle +10 to 15 over the yellow then you are rate MIDDLING to FAST

If you believe the yellow signs have no bearing at all and you'll continue to drive at the posted (white) speed limit..then you are AGGRESSIVE

RULE/REGULATION #2

NO ONE drives without a radio. If you want to run the twisties...buy a Midland or a Cobra or something. You show up without a radio..we'll send you to Wal Mart first.

This may sound autocratic and authoritarian
but you can ask ANYONE from the recent SEM run if they will bless this rule !!!

THEY WILL

As we discussed last night, I am completely behind both rules. Hopefully they will both get added to the standards of every meet.

By the way, you skipped Motorola. A small, obscure company that makes a few radios.

We are reserved at CI, and will be driving up Friday evening.

Rank me in the Middling-to-Cruiser category for this run.
