The rules make plenty of sense, especially the radios. While I can probably hang with the Agressive crowd since I tend to also ignore the white speed limit signs, since it's my first go around down there and have no experience on that run I'd feel more comfortable in the Middling to Fast group.

I'll also have an extra radio, so if somebody needs one they're welcome to use it for the two days!

Good choice for this run. You'll find it challenging.

I'd say someone could borrow my extra radio, but the batteries seem to die near the end of the run. Had to use the spare.

I have Cobras and my switch to the midlands like you guys have. You don't seem to have any issues.

I got Cobras as well, maybe I better retract my offer for the spare radio...I haven't run them long enough to see how long they actually last...I've been thinking of upgrading since there's a few things I'm not happy about with them but they do get the job done.

Yeah...I bought them so I could hook up the earpiece to them which is said I could do...well I can, but the mic doesn't work. Cause it's not there! And I'm positive the package said it was.

I'm going to trade up I think. Someone can have my cobras or I'll bring them on runs as spares for people who forget theirs, etc.

What model do you have? I wanted to hook up a headset to mine as well but if it's not going to work then I'm just going to go buy something new. I probably should have done more research but for some reason this time around I just did a grab and buy.

I'll have to check tonight. It said you could hook one up on the package...and you can, you just can't talk!!! And it clearly stated you could. But there's no way. There is no mic jack.

Add me to the list for Saturday's run. I did the run last August, so either the mild or aggressive group works for me.


My boss has a 350z and he might be interested in coming down for the Saturaday run, would that be a problem?

Last year's group speed was perfect for me. So I guess that would be middling to fast. Agree completely with the rules. While around Chicago I would be aggressive, on somewhat unfamiliar roads, not so much.
