I am no expert on relationships so i can't judge. I did go with the "make sure you like the mom because that is your future". Then again, after my big D, I was not fond of my ex but still loved her mom (no, not in that way).
Okay, time to return this thread from "Day's of Our Lives" to the regular TRC (Twisty Runners Channel). This week we are showing "The Possibility of the Extinction of the rare Route 555 White Line Grazing Squirrel", "The Correlation Between Rootie Intolerance and Red Cars" and a heartfelt intervention with aggros to turn them back to midlings....
Yes...why is it that the dogs feel they must charge at the red cars??

I'm up for an aggressive run. Actually I don't think my middling group was that much slower than the aggressive group... granted we only ran 555 and 26, which IMO are much more open than the start / finish sections of the whole T2TR run.
I only puckered once following Mark last year on an aggressive run... we come over a blind rise early in the run, it dropped down and to the right, and there was gravel at the peak... I slid a little, not much, but across the center line. I backed off his bumper a bit until we got onto 26 and he was held up by some car (older Camaro??) that ended up pulling off as quick as they could as Mark was pushing him faster than he was comfortable.

yeah...I was pleasantly surprised by the aggressive run on Saturday. Very smooth running and I had no issues. But Patty and Howard were awesome at calling out traffic and road debris! It really improved the run tremendously!!

Fekin' ell. Is that another $50 I owe you (the contract ran out!)? Actually, Dashark and Patty have the toughest job (the #1 and Nav is the hardest slot of all). I love the #2 slot (some have said i am full of C&@p and perhaps there is a connection). Just keep one eye on the bumper of #1 and the other on the tail of the snake. (perhaps a bit of peripheral involved.. I did spook Patty a bit when I predicted a truck about a mile up the road. Saw it coming from a side road on a rise about 3 miles out and didn't note it coming when we approached the T-road intersection. Had to be ahead.. Got that from my road racing biker days. Then again, maybe the peripheral was refined playing WOW).
Now, for the record. Do not discount the sweeper position. That is a tough position as well. Requires listening to the chatter and driving with ears and eyes while keeping the herd together. Not sure I have the skill set to do that... You do...

I like the sweep spot for a few reasons. I like to play catch up...makes things challenging! But...I know if everyone else made the turn then I can too!
It isn't as easy as it seems. If it's a big group, I'm going about 5 mph faster, sometimes more, than the front of the pack. I watch for people who start to lag and call up front to let the RC know. And I gotta make sure no one blows by a turn cause if they do, then I have to chase them down!

well.. you made my point... i don't have that skill set... You do. I love the #2... My native spot.. It just fits...
Pack roles and well running packs are a thing of beauty. I may write about the roles at some point (then again, where would i publish that one? The JoT? Journal of Twisty? ).
