The T2tr-iii Libations Thread

Well we had a libations thread for the Dells

So ...I guess we need one for T2TR-III

I'll start it

For Friday night (?) & Sat. night post run party I'm bringing BLUE MARGAROOTIES AGAIN.

also I will bring an eclectic menage of liqueurs ...including some agave based...some rum based and some brandy based

OK...who else has something to bring to the party???

You're my Hero!!!

Me, Me, Me!!!!! We can test the Hurricane mix. I have beads, and I'll bring whatever else. I'm sure I can drum up a little more wine, and I can contribute some lime flavored agave beverage. It goes nicely with 7-up or Sprite. Unless I go with my old standby...vodka! Mmm...Cosmos!!!

Sorry, I'm not to partial to all those FRUITY drinks. Give me a nice pint of Guinness (looks really nice next to a Black Sky) and I'll take my agave drink (I like the Anejo version!) by itself in one of those little glasses!! We're heading down to Mexico on Sunday so I'll pick up a special bottle for the May ride!

Geez! I'm supposed to know what I'll have in the liquor cabinet/wine rack seven months from now????

I'll be bringing whatever I can fit in the Solstice, of course!

But honestly, I'll probably have some assorted odd-ball wines from local wineries for the adventurous, as well as some higher proof liquors and/or liqueurs culled from available stocks. I'll definitely keep the "aphrodisiac rum" in reserve for T2TR-III

Well I'll pretty much drink anything, but I'll probably just bring some more guinness and tequila. I prefer the non flavored stuff myself. I know dashark is bringing this too, but I figure there is no such thing as too much.

Will you sip it holding the cup with your pinky finger sticking up?

What can we put in the tea? Seems like when I was in Austria a few years ago, I had some tea with a nice liquer of some sort in it! It was quite warming!!

Here's another one:

Tea-riffic

Ingredients
6 oz triple sec
6 oz sweet tea
5 ice cubes
2 lemons wedges

Directions
Pour in the 6 oz. of triple sec to the sweet tea and add the juice of 2 lemon wedges to it. Leave lemon wedges in drink then add 5 ice cubes. Stir gently.

I wonder what would happen if you used six ice cubes instead of 5???

Diane...those sound good! The one I had was a hot tea. I'll look around and see if I can find it. I think I had it while I was in Salzburg. It's probably some sort of Mozart special!!

Well, for hot tea you have to go with a hot toddy. Of course everyone's version varies, but it is usually hot tea with some sort of liquor (whiskey, brandy, scotch, rum, etc.) and something sweet (typically honey, but could be sugar or something else).

Also recommended for treatment of colds and flu, but in such case I would definitely go with the whiskey and honey version.
