I had twist to the driveway yesterday.....of course all the roads I take to get home are straight so I wasn't twisting by choice

I hope nobody twists off the roads today. I hear you have an ice storm coming! Good luck everyone.

For those of us who do not know what T2T etc stands for, please include us. This event sounds like fun, but as a new member, I'm unclear on what the event is; unless I missed a critical link or something. (happens at my age )

T2TR means: Twisting To The River
IV means: This is the fourth running of the event

The drive is through some very hilly countryside on very twisty roads that have a lot of elevation changes. It is a great drive.

Excellent...a newbie!

OK, here's the deal...this is not your average, everyday scenic drive! As JRinKY stated, it's lots of twists and turns through some hilly SE OH countryside! Basically, it's like riding a rollercoaster in your car!

People, especially passengers, have been known to become sick on this run. Also, we're running 2 days...Friday is the run known as the Start of Spring (SOS) run, Saturday is T2TR (Twisting to the River). These are 4-5 hr runs.

After the runs, we enjoy beverages known as Margarooties, dinner, and come back to the Party Room where we test the patience of the hotel staff! This happens mainly on Saturday night so as to minimize the chances of motion sickness during the runs...and for safety because they are challenging runs.

Hopefully we have not scared you off! We definitely are a crazy bunch, and we have a lot of fun on and off the road!!

Please let me know your plans...in for the entire weekend, etc?

Welcome, Welcome!!!

Great Info. Sounds like a great weekend to tear into some new Yokahma's! I'll have to get back with you as I'm in Virginia and I think OH is about 10 hours from me?

No idea, but we have people who come from West Virginia and South Carolina. I'm about 7 hrs or so away myself. Well worth it!

Closer to 400 miles or 6-7 hrs
Depending on whether you want to do the beltway to 68
or drop down to Charlottesville and take 64 to Beckley....from Beckley it's just
over 3 hrs of straight driving up I77

For all "newbies" this is a great run . D-2 has found some of the best twisty runs in the area. There are several "driving groups", pick out your comfort level. Wish the run was next week !!!!!....
