I thought T2TR was in 27 days?? Our count is suspect.
And I told you my head wouldn't be hurting tomorrow. As predicted...I only had 2 beverages for the evening. 1 beer and 1 bloody mary. I'm practicing being good for next weekend.
I am being good too. Was 3 miles from Dick's last night and didn't go over and get trashed.
Warning for those coming to the HI this morning. FBH central. Trying to have breakfast. Totally surrounded. I think one just winked at me. Ahhhhhhhhhh

depending on who signs up it will start at 9...or maybe later.
Weekend of 04-10-11...it is a "recommended" (still optional..not mandatory) RC familiarity run
Friday will be a re-do of SOS...so that the RC's can re-familiarize themselves with the whole 190 miles
Saturday will be the T2TR "familiarity run" again...that will start about 9 a.m.
and finish about 3.
(BTW...went to get a beer at DICK's today...they don't open till 4 on Saturdays.....so we could start at 10...be done by 3:30 and still hit DICK's)
Weekend of the 18th and 25th are open season....anybody that wants to do the runs can.....if you feel you need a hard copy ask Mark to e-mail one to you.
So now...start signing up for pre-runs please
I'll keep a master list somewhere in this thread.
bumping this up...
if you are coming for RC training on the 10th (Friday) or the 11th (saturday...)
It was a great day at the T2TR pre-run.
I logged 539 miles in just over 12 hours.
It was nice to see Druid, Warthog, Dashark and SlyGuy.
I was able to break in my in tires in style. The T2TR is a nice
test for man and machine. The roads had a lot of dirt and gravel
in places. When it was in the corners things got interesting!
I will post some pictures and video soon.

Logged a few more miles than that, but it is not the quantity of miles, but the quality. Definitely the latter today (good roads, good weather, good friends.. doesn't get better).
A side note... "DaShark Bite" can not only navigate (calls out make and model of oncoming cars, interior colors, etc.,) but is a great driver... Perhaps she has a sister more interested in Sol's than Sly's?
Great Day!!!! Oh yeah.. Rich, given you share my love for 26, you won't believe the new paving....
All we need is a few really good rains to clear a few miles of grit (not a long section, just on some great corners. At least "Howling Hill" was in top shape). In addition, while there are a lot of road apples (always at the start of a hill. I presumed it was a sign of horse intelligence to "lighten the interior load" before a hill but WH noted that it could simply be a gravitational effect, i.e. the horses are more concerned with tightening their shoulder muscles for the pull and less concerned with increasing sphincter tension as they start the hill pull. I suspect he is right.) they really weren't a real problem (actually one of the few times I could clearly define the opposite of Shinola)
Great time and well worth the journey (even given the FBH invasion I experienced at breakfast. If you think FBH's are scary on the road??? They are rabid when in a pack to buy wicker and "Amish" crap on a rented bus trip. Like an FBH version of "Night of the Living Dead").

Oh no...the Yak Queen is not allowed to play next weekend. My rootie intake must be limited.
Slippery slope. Act too good in that neck of the woods, and you will find yourself on a "wicker tour bus" describing knick knacks like they were the ultimate twisty. An FBH zombie.. NOOOOOOO The inhumanity!!!!!

Sweet!!! Strange.. You were sweep but i swear i still hear D2's pipes... In Hinckley, the sure sign of spring is the return of the buzzards. In Chesterfield/Chesterville (don't remember the name.. just the echo), it is the return of the Kappas (with the clear sound of a lead "honker").

Howie - Sorry, but I'll never be allowed back at la casa del NEOWOA if I yak next weekend!!!
Simple solution. You use my spare room key at HI to do a "Valley Girl Two Fingered Diet plan" BEFORE going back to NEOWOA's la casa. (Once the pipes are clear, it is no longer "yak". "Dry heaves" are just a really bad smelling burp if you play it well).
Being "not bad" is not always a change in basic behavior. Usually, it is having a better plan to mask the "baddness" with a bit of marketing terminology on the terms regarding behavior.
