It worksfor me I will meet you at stop #2. If any of the other Chicago crew wants to meet like we did in the fall. Just let me no and we can pick a spot to meet up at for the run to Steak & Shake

I know mikep77 is looking for someone to run down to Indy with. I'm sure Bern and Pat would be interested in joining too!

I would be more than happy to meet up again. I believe that it is exit #240 Route 2 and I65 is the point that I get on I65. If Mike would like to meet me at that point I we can head to Indy together. My guess Is that Bern will be coming down 294 then accross I80 to I65 so I don't think that Mike will come that way,,However that is up to him.
For anyone else in the Dayton area, meet at the rest stop, mile marker 70 at 2:30 in case the bus is early. We don't want to be late to dinner. This should be a quick stop for the big bus. Any late comers may be on their own "short" bus.
Alright looking at the times I'm going to be at the Indy stop, I'd have to leave too early to hit the Champaign stop. I don't see any reason for waiting around at any of the stops for an hour unless it's a food break..and even then... I say make them 30 minutes so we can arrive with some time to spare!
Mike, Russ & Cathy, Bern..do you guys want to meet up somewhere like last time? Maybe the same place or some place before crossing the border to IN? No Jim this time around?

If anyone from this direction wants to join me for the run up to Columbus, I should be leaving Lexington at about 12:30, crossing the river into Ohio at about 2:00, and arriving at the Steak & Shake exit at about 3:30. That will allow time for filling and emptying whatever needs to be filled or emptied, and a bit of a cushion for traffic problems.

Sure, I'm all for meeting up somewhere. I don't remember where we met up last time, so someone else will have to remind me. As long as I have my GPS, I'll find the meetup spot.
I haven't heard from him this time around. Last year I heard that he was probably not going to do T2TR, and try some different runs this year.

If everyone agrees...we'll shorten the lunch stop to 30 minutes. Last year we needed the entire hour to get the Chicago group there due to construction.
That moves everything up 30 minutes. Gives us more breathing room later in the day. We'll probably need it. The earlier we hit Columbus, the better.
John - I'll firm up the Columbus stop with Coop. Like I said...it may change to a Race Track parking lot off the South Side of Columbus. That would be super convenient for all of you coming in from the south. And it gives us more parking if we have 10-15 cars in the caravan.

Diana, We would like to meet up with the Chicago caravan. I was thinking of taking I-90 to I-65. Does this work? We will be out of town until 4-4-09. Please let us know. Bern and Pat

Other than taking away my time cushion I'm OK with it. Just be sure there is fuel nearby, preferably within sight.

That probably works well for mikep.
I'd say, you, mikep, MountainKing, and CatsMeanGXP should PM or e-mail each other to decide where you all want to meet. Then you can all meet SV1, BLKGXP, and I in Indy.
Also, I'd recommend taking the north loop around Indy. I believe it's 865 East. It's really quick.
I have all your e-mail addresses. I'll e-mail you 4 so you can get everything set up.

Fine with me, hopefully it won't be as bad this year, since it will be earlier. I'll pack a lunch, just in case I need to eat in the car, if we're running short on time.

According to Coop there should be a station nearby. I really think you'll be OK on time, because the timeline on the 2nd half of the drive is usually really tight. Things always happen when you get more than 3-4 cars in a group travelling several hours. Stops take longer than you think, a few cars run into unexpected traffic or road construction and get held up, etc.
As we get closer, we'll exchange cell numbers in case there are issues along the way.
I have not plugged in the distances from stop to stop point into google maps for more accurate time estimates. I did a quick city to city look to get us in the ballpark. So we can tweak the times a bit. I definitely know it takes 3 hrs for SV1 and I to get to Indy...30 minutes to get around Indy, then 3 hrs from Indy to Zanesville. Made sure I kept track of that in October! I just never can remember where Dayton and Columbus fall in!!
