NEO Far West Caravan will follow the same schedule as last year. We start on I-74 in Champaign, IL and pick up I-70 in Indianapolis.

Here is the NEO Far West caravan schedule for Thursday April 30th. I've filled in the usual suspects at the possible stop points.:

Departure time...approximately 7:00 am for Chicago, St. Louis, & Podunk, IL.

Stop #1: (Champaign)
8:15 am CDT
Walgreens
Champaign, IL
I-74, Exit 181
The bus will leave by 8:30 am CDT

I-70, Exit 91 - Post Road
Chicago, St. Louis, & Central, IL meeting stop.
The Bus Leaves at 12:00 pm CDT (1:00 pm EDT) Charp!!!
The Bus will leave earlier if we are ready to go.
NOTE TO THE CHICAGO CONTINGENTS: This is NOT the usual stop in Lebanon. This is on the east side of Indy. Also...we may shorten this and make it a 30 min stop.

4:00 pm EDT (Possibly 3:30)
Scioto Downs 6000 S High St, Lockbourne, OH‎
(2 miles south of I-270 on Route 23)
Bus will leave at 4:15 pm, sooner if we can.

*** Note the change in venue due to 14 cars! There will not be facilities at this stop, so please make sure you are topped off and have used the facilities prior to your arrival at this stop.

Arrival in Newcomerstown:
6:00-ish pm EDT
(We will not be late for dinner at Dicks!!!!)

We will run the last part of T2TR from I-70 into N-Town...if I can remember it and if time permits!!

Note: 6:00 ish will be tight for arrival as dinner is at 6:30. We're gonna try to move the afternoon schedule up by 30 minutes if we can get out of Indy by 12:30. If we can...I will call everyone and let them know we made it out early. Does anyone see a problem with this? Will it cause any issues??? If it does, we'll stick to plan. I don't want people to be waiting around for an extra 30 minutes if we can't speed things up either, unless you all are ok with that.

I am good with the time frame. Once on the road from the Flying J (exit 240) on I65 it should be 2 hours 15 min to the Steak & Shake on Post road. So we should make 11:00 cst easily.


So the bus will depart Flying J at 8:30 sharp

SV1 and I should be good as well. It's only 3 to 3-1/2 hrs from my house to Post Road, so we should be there early.

It's the Chicago Group that could get stuck in traffic and be late!

I'm hoping we'll be early enough out of this area where it won't be a huge issue...I'll look at construction reports and traffic reports and see if we need to adjust the time to meet.

I talked with Dave yesterday and he is still good for Thursday. Three cars will be waiting for your bus at 2:30 PM at the rest stop. I'll be the point man; contact me with any updates after you leave Indianapolis. It will take us 30-45 minutes to reach our meet point.

I may have to alter my meeting point for this bus. I ordered some mod parts from a place in Columbus. The shipping got messed up, so if they don't show up by Thursday, I may fly through the Indy stop, and pickup my stuff in Columbus. I would then catch the bus there. We'll see. I hope the stuff just shows up here before then.

So I seem to have forgotten, what time were we going to meet at the little strip mall? It should take me a little over an hour to get there, depending on traffic.
