Glad to have you join in! It's nothing like the runs in Ohio.. not that intense. This is more of a cruising, rolling hill, scenic sort of deal. Not sure you had the opportunity out west to see the colors afforded by the seasons here in Michigan, so hopefully you'll really enjoy that as well.

I've updated the main listing of attendance. I've also posted in the Michigan Kappa Club News sticky thread on Skyroadster now. All are invited, N/A, GXP, RL, be it white, black, yellow, brown (um.. wait no brown cars)... LOL!!

My girlfriend's family has a cottage in the area.. we might stay there, just depends on if anyone else in her family is using the place that weekend or not.

I'll give it until after the holiday weekend to see what sort of response we have and look into rooms for a group if we have enough folks.

This sounds very cool -- have done the tunnel a few times -- would be a total trip to see a long line of Kappas blowing through.
Was just up in TC in early August..... If this is an annual event I will look forward to it next year -- sorry no can do this year...:thumb:

Glad to see a Sky join the thread.. maybe the post over on Skyroadster.com is working!

yes, this is the second year for this. Problem is peak color is hard to predict, and it falls during the end of my autox season... but it's been the first weekend in October both times so far.

It also falls around the WI Dells trip, and the fall run for the NEO's as well. I'm hoping over time we can keep the MKC folks in Michigan!!

Rich,

Count Deb & me in. Our family has a place N. of TC, so we'll be staying there. Looking forward to the run.

I was asked via PM a question I thought best to respond back to the group here.

As for contact information for each on the ride, usually for rides we use the little GRMS radios to keep in touch. The group is small enough and we aren't going through towns to the point that we should loose each other. The radios help with that, in case of a bathroom break, or food suggestions, general chit-chat, etc.

I have 2 radios, and will be purchasing two more, so I will bring all 4 of mine. If anyone has extras that would help too.

Count us in! We will drive up on Friday from Illinois and return on Sunday, so we could start early on Saturday. We were last in that area for our honeymoon, 26 years ago.

There is a small group of Traverse City area people that do a couple of runs a year through the local Saturn dealer where I bought my Sky in TC. I sent a link of this thread to the person that organizes those runs to see if anyone there was anyone interested in going on this one. Maybe we'll get a few new recruits for the MKC.

Sounds fun!

OOOOOOHhhhhhhh! This sounds fun! I'd love to see pics! Maybe I can plan it next year, I think the 12 hours to get there would be a bit far and I just don't think I can get there this year. Please share pics when you get back. Have a great time!
