Toyman: Count me in again this year. It would be nice if it could be changed up a bit. I think Flipper said he rode his bike in that area and had some ideas for changes? You've done a fine job and we all appreciate the work involved it setting this up.
Thanks

Google Map

I used last year's handout of the run to put this run onto Google Maps.

I am a fan of it as is but Toyman said he recieved some input for changes so I am posting it as it was in 2007. It has last years starting point, Hell, and end point - Tomato Bros.

note : I did not intend to make one of the cities a destination oops ... I maxed out my google map skills as is and gave up trying to remove it... but the rout I believe to be correct.

MAP of Run to Hell 2007

I ran some additional twisties to add to the run. They will work fine and add about 15 minutes if we leave as is the rest of the way. I'd like to see if we should leave depart and destination locations the same or different.....what do you think? The destination we used is not ideal since it split us up the last time and we will have more cars this year. What kind of destination do we want?

It may be nice to have the start and stop the same with a designated hotel like T2TR. That way, we can have some after run bonding and folks can cut loose a bit and spend the night (we can't have canucks doing border runs back to the great white north after a few drinks...). If folks like the idea, i will assist in working with a hotel at the start/stop to get a block of rooms, etc... If folks are not up for it, that is cool as well...

I'm interested too, although its usually dubious about the dinner afterwards if I want to go home and let my dog out rather than have a canine surprise awaiting my return.

BTW

With any kind of synchronized drive, having a left fork & right fork such that you arrange each half to pass each other is kinda cool (ie, two groups of 10 cars, figure out a way to run past the other group in the other direction).

Any kind of dogbone route would do that with a delay start for subsequent groups -- particularly if the lead cars knew to pause to synch things up.

Mrs. Tuffy and I loved the run last year. Count us in again. The restaurant we had dinner in was a great location next to major roads. Will look forward to it.

By the way,

If the group gets big enough this year I'm 100% there to be the second or third group leader. Maybe even lead an aggressive group!!

Oooohhh - Cool concept! - Mapping this out on google yesterday I saw two places this could be done. Sounds like a great Photo/video opp too. Would be a good way to pace a cruising group closer to the pack with the faster group doing a/the loop.

We need a good pose of our cars and growing MKC members too somewhere. Could be done with all at Hell - last year most parked in orderly fasion - except a few of us parked to soon (including myself - oops).

I'm working on new and expanded routes. What do you think about starting and ending in north Jackson? Meeting room, restaurant, motel? Post ideas........

Oh heck! Again, I'll be at the MSU game. But if the timing works out, I'll join you all at Tomato Brothers for dinner as I did last year.
