The runs are the one thing I am looking forward to the most. Have they been summarized anywhere? I want to plan my spring/summer to go to as many as I can!

Nothing has been put together as of yet.
I was hoping that Scuba would be working on this, but last I checked his car died on the expressway (I haven't followed that thread since his first post).
Last year included:
A trip to Hell (or two of them)
Woodward Dream Cruise (during the week before the cruise day)
A fall color tour (Traverse City area, early October)
A cider mill meet (late fall)
Trips are open to when ever someone wants to plan something. I'm planning on putting together two runs this year:
Summer get together in Grand Haven on the lake. Not sure of the date yet.. but July / August would be good
Fall color tour run up north in October. I'll post more about these later in the year.. but those are plans so far.
I'd encourage others to post suggestions, even if you do not want to organize... put an idea of a route / time frame together and see if someone can organize for you at least!
I couldn't help but think of the shirts we could design for a "Climax to Hell" run!

I am into the twisty runs (not so much the "meets"). If you are of a similar mind, these are my recommendations at this point for runs within ~ 5 hours (including a radar detector for the journey):
You need to put the T2TRIII on your calendar... It is in the NEO section of the Great Lakes (just under MKC). The first run is May 3 which seems to be the first "biggy" of the year with MAJOR twisty action. It looks like there may be 3 of those this year. It is very well organized and even allows people to select different groups based on their "need for speed".
Toyman is architect of the "Hell runs". Last year he had 2 of them. This is clearly the best twisty run in mid-michigan (believe me, i have spent a lot of time with Google earth photos and a TomTom and haven't found anything as good as this). He hasn't set the dates yet, but book them as soon as he does. Maybe if we pitch in and help, he may even add a 3rd?
One of the last of the season is the Dell's run in Wisconsin. i missed it but a lot of folks seemed to like it (still, not at the level of T2TR).
There are many many others and i am sure that we will have new ones pop up soon (i am still working on one myself.. Had a good early outline and then some engineer decided to tar and stone major sections.. broke my heart).
Also, don't write off the "meets". They are a great opportunity to get together and share mods/ideas (I tend to be a be more introverted which may play a factor in my inclination to avoid those events).
See ya on the twisties...

Click on my signature below for access to the thread
you have 5-6 michiganders already coming
there will be two runs that weekend
Run #1 is on friday around noon- 5 for the early birds
sort of a warm up for Saturday but still quite challenging
The big run is Saturday from about 9-4 and covers about 200 miles start to finish
Later in the season...probably late late Aug or early Sept will be the T2TR DOUBLE HEADER
(click on the link in my signature again)
I always print the same warnings (ask Matt)
There are multiple groups based on your skill level...but SAFETY IS THE #1 THING
You come expecting fun and safety you get it.
Also...D*R*A*M*A*M*I*N*E* (and I'm not kidding...ask ZOLSOL,,, Heat Mizer and I M Faster...among others) if you have a passenger...or if you suffer from motion sickness...bring Dramamine....more so for the passenger !!!
We have had to stop some groups for a spontaneous hurling session on at least one occasion!!)
This is not to scare you...it is to ADVISE you.
We also ask you to rate yourself...If you have NEVER done serious twisties rate yourself low. We don't want you running in an aggressive bunch only to find you don't have the skills to keep up.
Ask Matt or Flipper about T2TR...also uptownmarie !!!

WISols has 4-5 runs over the season, they're more about the driving than car meets.
Average run is about 100 miles, ending with dinner somewhere.
First run of the season is usually in April, then there's about one per month, with the big finale being the Dells weekend. Dells the first year was very impromtu, with 28 cars, and 2 days. Last year we had 50+ cars, and 3 days, with runs on two of the days. This year will have a big run on one day, hitting some of the best roads in the state, and 2 days of play time at the resort. Since we have friends coming from all over the country, more social time was requested by all, last year wasn't enough time to hang out and catch up!

Didn't have my Sol until June 07 so didn't realize you folks had an April event. Set the first date for this year... I am so ready!!

FYI : For those of you that have gone on the "Hell" runs and we stopped at Screams Ice Cream shop in Hell - One of the "Ice Cream Dippers" (Eric) is currently one of the contestants on the newest Survivor show on CBS that just started last night. You may remember him - I am rooting for him!!
