This will be a Saturday run and it will be the final run I will post for this season, it will start at the Lawrenceburg exit (Rt 50 Rt 1 interchange) off of I-275 this is actually Greendale Ind. I will post an exact point by tomorrow evening with an address and map. We will run to the Elk Creek Winery in Kentucky for lunch and return to the starting point at Greendale. The run will start at 10am I will have a total run time later after the pre-run.
As always all are welcome hope to see all of you there.
I know many of you have been to Elk Creek Winery but for those who have not here is a link to there site.

To update the starting point, it will be at the Shell station on US 50 about 100 yards west of the RT 1 and RT 50 interchange. The station sits on the south side of the highway. This location will also be the ending point of the run.
Sounds good, suppose to go to a chilli cookoff that day right down the road but I have been to Elk Creek and its a nice place, ( maybe they will let us run the sporting clay gun course next door, talk about twisties)

I should be able to go as well! I don't have anything pressing right now. But, I never know about work. Sometimes Saturdays come around, and I will know Friday before.
Since this is a Saturday, are we going to have time for a tour? It looks like we will have enough people, and for $10, doesnt sound like a bad deal.

The tour looks interesting to me too. The question will be how late people will want to be on the road. The route Glenn has planned to Elk Creek is 2-1/2 hours, and the return is 2 hours (assuming no "detours"). An hour for lunch and an hour and 1/2 for the tour, plus another hour more or less for rest stops means 8 hours for the run, which puts us back in Lawrenceburg at 6PM versus 4:30 without the tour.

Hey John,
You make a good point. I am game if eveyone else is. I don't want to take away from the run. If someone has things they want to do that evening we can set it up next time. But if we get there and everyone is ok, then we can tour. I just don't want someone not to go on run because we take a winery tour.
I think all that came out right
Miller Tyme : After being told this past weekend that the trunk of a Solstice will hold 17 bottles of wine with the top down the wife insists we go on the tour.
That's just behind the seats. The trunk will hold even more than that, although it would probably get too hot back there for the wine.

I think the tour is also a good idea but I agree I don't want anyone to feel they have to do the tour. We will need to confirm a couple of things first though. I plan on pre running this run in the near future and I will have a better idea of the total time for the run.
I would also be willing to separate the run after we reach Elk Creek and those only interested in the run I would lead back to the ending point in Lawrenceburg. I would ask JR to lead the tour group back.
After the pre run I will have an idea as to when we should reach Elk Creek and figure time for lunch with the group and then try and set a tour time. At that time I would like for all who want to attend the run to post if they want to do the run and tour or just the run it's self.
I will try and adjust the run to see if we can do the tour and still be back to the end point by 5:30 again I will know more after the pre run.
