Sunday Drive for September

The next Sunday drive is on Sept 13th. This run will start at 10 am September 13th at the BP station at 5598 Alexandria Pike
Newport, KY.
( This is the same location the last Sunday run started) This address is on Rt 27 just south of the AA Highway on right hand side. You can get there by taking I-275 to KY and taking the Alexandria Pike Rt 27 exit south or follow I-471 to the end and it turns into Alexandria Pike. If anyone need more directions just pm me. Total run time is approximately 4 1/2 hrs not including rest stops and lunch. Lunch will be at the Courtyard in Rising Sun Ind. This run will finish at or around the Bob Evans on rt 27 just south of I-275.

This run follows a route to the southwest and then loops back to cross the Ohio river for lunch at The Courtyard and then continue to the finish. Hope to see everyone there.

Glen,
Charlotte and I will be there on the 13th. I had my last chemo treatment last Tuesday. I'm feeling much better and have gained back some of my weight. My taste has returned to almost normal and I'm eating better. We are looking forward to seeing everybody. Buy the way I applied for and received my first Social Security check in August. I'm officially retired. Tell CABJRK I'm the youngster in the group.

Glad to here things are going well for you on the treatments looking froward to seeing the two of you. I will call the restaurant at the Courtyard and tell them to slaughter another cow since your appetite is better

We pre-ran this route today and I think it will be an excellent run. If you were on the last Sunday run it has a lot of the same type of twisting and turning and great views and vistas.

For those wanting an address of the starting point it is
5598 Alexandria Pike
Newport, KY

Just got back from spending 10 days on the boat beached in Newport KY waiting for the WEBN fireworks with 13 other boats.(my liver needs a break) Will have to check with the Lynn since her mom is going through Chemo and may need someone to stay with her for the weekend if she gets a treatment on friday.

Just a reminder the weather for this run is forecast to be sunny and 80 not a lot of these weekend left so don't miss out on a great run. Also if you have a radio don't forget to bring it and maybe some sunscreen

Looking forward to seeing you all there.
