Having a stage II Hahn turbo I know that all cars are somewhat unique in their tuning after the modification. If the ECM is tuned to allow the engine to run too lean severe piston damage can occur. If the car isn't dyno'd after the turbo installation there is no real way to know if the air/fuel mixture is correct.
The 2.4L engine is strong, but the installer has to know what he is doing. I couldn't be more pleased with my Hahn turbo at this point.

I know where you are coming from but this isn't 100% right. A street tune (driving on the street while tuning) with a wide band hooked up isn't just another way to tune but is better than a dyno tune. This way you can compensate for actual outside airtemps, and air coming into the motor driving vs putting a fan in front of the car. Plus most dyno's put a sniffer in the rear pipe to calculate air/fuel readings which can sometimes not be fully acurate. Where as a wide band while street tuning usually incorporates a "weld in bung" that allows the sensor to be screwed in..

Ordered the Solstice: Black with leather, steering wheel controls, A/C delete (who needs A/C in a convertible). Custom turbo kit, maybe!

PS What happened to Solscuba? He change his name or something??

Hey Chuck,

Yeah, last spring I went for Stage II. Smaller sc pulley to make more boost, an intercooler and new tune. It was a no-brainer. A little over $3k for the first 40-50hp, a little over $1k for the second 40-50hp . No regrets.

Scuba traded his Sol for a truck . He still posts occasionally but does have a new handle. I forget what it is, but something to do with the truck.

Nice! How much boost @ max are you able to generate? +10, - 13?
Also what does the HP dyno out at?
You know I met Solscuba on ebay when I purchased his extra plain floor mats
so I would always have a clean pair. In an ebay PM he asked me if I was a member
of the forum and his Handle then was Jeeps4Life.
Remember that confusion with my tuner neighbor? Ebaying back @ him I mentioned something about my neighbor building fuel rails and basicly a Jap Tuner. Scuba told me
then that he didn't have any money to work with so he was just doing small things
for then. I watched him drop, what, 10,000 grand since then and right after he said
that.
Any Idea why he fell out of love with his Solstice? I still love the hell out of mine and
plan a S*"T Load of Mad Mods!

Hey Revman I forgot to mention I met a kid 18 last week while visiting my elderly
Mom's with a Mallett SKY of his dads. He lives right next to my mom's new house and his dad has a garage full of bad ass cars. Turns out he has never heard of the forum and
and his Father is one of Ross Perot's Bank Software partners and all the kid did was whine how he didn't have a single car to drive that got good gas mileage.
Thought I would share that with you. What a poor little Brat! I'd kill to drive
some of his exotics.

Best I've seen is a little over 8PSI. I'm reading it using the DashHawk. Have not had it on a dyno. I'm not that caught up in the numbers. I just love being able to push the accelerator whether I'm at 2k, 3K or more and having the thing go like I dropped a bigger motor in there. The difference is incredible. They are working on a Stage III. Not sure If I'll go for it or not. Mines a daily driver 'cept for the winter months. I'm not sure I want to start pushing the envelope. Then again I said I wasn't going to do stage II . We'll see if the Tool Time Tim in me gets the best of me next spring.

I saw a Scuba post yesterday, new handle is V10Venom I believe. I'll let him respond as to motivations.

So nothing became of the modified fuel rail/tune? DDM has now come out with a center feed fuel rail. It never ends .

Yeah I know what you mean. I did however think you guys were already hitting 8 psi
with DDM's first kit. That tells me I want to go directly to the Stage II if there's no III
by then. Probably the smartest move anyway. I definetly will be going forced Air Induction over any Turbo. I also am a daily driver, except days it's raining and I drive my Silverado. My car has never been driven in the rain since new, but it has gotten rained on while I was at work but had dried up by the time I went home. So here in
FL it usually rains in the pm and I leave for home just before it hits. Yep I'm the Boss
and can do that + my office is 15 miles round trip. It only takes me seven minutes to get there or back providing highway conditions are right. I got a 71 mph in a 55 two months
ago so I can't say 5 minutes anymore. Great to hear from you and glad your Sol is
holding it's own!
Thanks for the heads up. A name like that sounds almost like Scuba has a 10 cylinder
Dodge Viper??????? Na.....
Rev, You keep it between the ditches, talk to you soon. Thanks for the info!

I read boost straight off of the controller on the supercharger. 8.6 to 8.8 about a pound lower on the dashhawk.

I dyno'd on the same dyno I have dyno'd on since day one at 143 hp 138 tq
with stage II I dyno at 234 hp 238 tq if memory serves me right. Very close to that.

This dyno has been consistently lower that the figures others have put down. I haven't had it to the track for a 1/4 mile time but my 0-60 is around 4.6-4.7, stock it was 6.8

Yeah, when you read right off the controller thats hard to argue as with digital equipment
unless your using lab grade. There's always some guestion to .2 ,.4 ,.6 ,.8 some time don't carry over to accurately with line losses and other factors. That is probably exactly why the Dashhawk isn't reading your numbers, the Dashhawk in my opinion is very accurate and I retired the first time from electronic engineering.
That's pretty good Critterman. I mean damn, with a good launch your eat'in up rice grinders @ an under 10 second quarter. Well brother, I have never taken my eyes off the prize, so 5-6 months from now god Will'n I'll have to get on that DDM Stage II.
I must admit I really enjoy the PCMforless tune for around town, but I feel the need for Speed!
Thanks for the info and good hear'in from you. Take care

I don't think I will see anything lower than a 13 second quarter.** 06's have a very long 3rd gear, stage one was 14.102 @99 in 3rd gear and I still hadn't hit redline yet much the revlimiter. Tried shifting into 4th but it was just before the traps and actually slows you down

Who posted a 12.3 with the Stage II? On the track or using a dashhawk? Timing strips from the track?

Turbo, Centrifigal Supercharger, Roots Supercharger are all forced induction. The superchargers run off of belts, the turbo runs of off exhaust pressure.
