I haven't had much time to drive since I got back other than to the doctor's and back and to work today. Still grinning ear to ear, plenty of power on tap, smooth linear accellaration all the way to redline, and very driveable in traffic. One a scale of 1 to 10, at least a 12
I echo all that Critterman has said ... it sounds like he did all the same things I did while there ... the gauge installation is a bit of a challenge but well worth it .... I haven't really had time to put mine thru its paces yet ... and had a small problem with the extension connector to the throttle body .... Dave sent me a new one and I installed and the problem appears to be corrected ..... but have installed a new set of Fuzion ZRi's and will be heading to Kerrville this weekend to run some twisties with about 20 other Solstices from SWSC .... I will post some pictures and comments upon my return .... and in 2 weeks I will be back in SC to get brakes ... shocks ... bushing ... and probeam installed ... a birthday present to myself .... just wish I could have all that done for Kerrville .... for those that are waiting ... be patient ... it's kind of like when we were waiting for our Solstice .... you'll have a HUGE grin on your face when you drive it for the first time.
And one other thing I have to mention (but you already know this) .... Dave, Randy and Ivy provide the utmost in customer service .... bar none.

With those kind of 0-60 times, if you had just one guy, and were doing the 1/4 my guess would be around 13.1 with good traction.
Thanks Sol. Sounds promising. Appreciate the response.

The only problem I see with the quarter mile, is that you are only going to get one shot at it since all sanctioned tracks require either a roll bar or cage at 13.6 in a roadster. I plan on working on the hole shot and 1/8th mile then backing down for the remainder of the run to keep the 1/4 time down. Once I feel I have the best launch I can make then running it hard once before I have to leave the track.

But this is a GOOD problem, right?
Thanks so very much for posting your impressions. I _really_ appreciate your perspective as I await my install.

I'm waiting to see Spiky's car with the rollbar from Danny Whitfield (?)...
I don't think a dragstrip will question it, but any real track will.

Not true. Some tracks, like in Vegas didn't say anything to me two weeks ago when I pulled a 12.49 @ 109mph.
Just depends on how strict they enforce the rules.

Well I know for a fact the two tracks I run at, escort your off the premises, don't even let you park and watch the rest of the day.
