Today...

well...

did Cherehola skyway..................back and forth...
did the dragon.............................5 times...(seriously, i'm nuts !!!)
did hellbender 28.........................twice (i know i'm nuts ! but i don't care )

11 hours of driving, 8 out of thoses 11 hours kicking and screaming tires on those crazy roads...

definitely need a rest now , so does my car, tires, brakes...

i am currently in an hotel room in Ascheville , NC to visit tomorrow morning the Biltmore estate.
North America biggest and most prestigious house. Can't wait.
right after that i will be hitting the Blueridge parkway and skyline drive ( at a slower pace...) on my way to Lexington.

whew what a ride thoses vacations are. The sound of the supercharger in thoses mountain roads was quite a thing to hear...

Hello Chemist,

One more thing, you will definitely not regret this update...

It is not an update, it is a new car, a wolf in sheep clothing, an animal...
It changes your way of driving, it test your limits as a pilot...
It transform you from an adult into a teenager...
from a reasonable man to an all out rebel...

are you ready ???

bet you are by watching you

The thing that did it for me was to experience both the stage II, the roar (long tube headers and hi-flow cat) and those amazing roads at the same time. Man , what a ride... i pushed the car smoothly as far as going into understeer quite a lot of time on some corners at roughly 40-50 mph on thoses smooth curves ( but still deadly !!!) of the cherohala skyway.(easy to do and to control with full focus on the road and the feel of the car )
, even slightly skidding the 4 wheels after pushing understeer a tiny bit too far( a bit scary i must admit... ) on hellbender 28.

theses roads taught me a lot on how the car react and how far it can be pushed in the corners... just a matter of going slow at first and improving from there. but you have to be really focus on the road and how the car react, no time for listening music or chit-chating with the wife for sure.

You can also just tame yourself, put some music, enjoy the view and be an adult. the wife will be happy and everything will be fine.

In my case, i was unable to resist...oh so tempting, i was alone so i could do as i please.

by the way, i you invest in a stage II , i would strongly suggest adding their longtube headers and high flow cat, a very nice high quality headers and cat.

Due to the wife teaching a class this week, we expect to not be in until Friday evening. Hopefully, we can have the class picture taken Saturday morning!

WOW! That is some serious seat time for those roads!

You are dang lucky we didn't get any of the rain they kept expecting, what with the RSAs and all. You wil be astounded by the difference in tires. I don't know how you will keep the supercharger under control in the frozen northlands- winter storage? Now that will drive you nuts knowing you could be in the Solstice!

If you stay over Friday night, maybe we can all meet Saturday morning. I'm scheduled for the 227 ride @ 9:30. What about breakfast Saturday morning? If that works, how's 8am?

We need group pics for the DDM family album!

Well - that didn't work! The morning rides start at 7:30am and the only DDM's that are not booked on rides are you and diamoney.

So..... how about dinner after the meet & greet on Thursday? Let's see if everyone can make that.

Getting a special tool to correctly adjust the drive belt tension is not necessary but would be a good idea. i forgot the name but it sounded like krikit or clickit... something like that.

i don't have a link but hopefully other members will chime in. if not, contact Dave, he will probably be able to provide a link for you.

Follow up since the install of my stage II...

since i've been driving the hell out of my solstice in the last few days (dragon, hellbender, cherehola, devil's triangle, blah,blah,blah...).

decided the take things a bit more relax by visiting the biltmore estate in ascheville NC,

Man that's a big house for sure...

after that i went on to drive the blue ridge parkway(moderate pace). beautiful scenery.

All i can say is that the car ran strong all the way without missing a single beat, no check engine light, no trouble at all, very satisfied so far.

currently at the hotel in the middle of nowhere ,Virginia . 4 or 5 hours of driving left to meet some of you guys tomorrow,

cant wait...
