Hahn Stgae IV

According to the Hahn Racecraft website the Kappa Stage III and Stage IV systems are now available. The Stage IV setup uses a Mits 20G turbo and they are touting 380 whp I have a stage II system on order for my Sky and will have it supersized to at least a Stage III. I may even opt for the stage IV depending on whether or not the stock internals will handle it and what the octane requirements are (only 92 octane availalbe here in the corn state)

Im kinda skeptical if the soltice can really handle the stage IV. I dont see the engine lasting longer than 50k miles with that kind of boost.

50k at that power to the ground to weight ratio! Im down! The Stage 3 has been highly tested and if you dont think the engine can handle it then there are internals avalible!

They say 93 but i am sure 92 is ok since they also say 93 for all SRTs and in Cali they have only up to 89 and they say it isnt too bad. Few knocks....

Well, I have talked in detail with Bill Jr. about the ability of the motors internals to handle those power levels. They have their test car with Stage IV and have been pounding this car hard on a daily basis. I think their car has had Stage IV on it for at least a year. I don't think they would release a kit at those power levels if they didn't think the motor could handle it.

I am sure Bill will get on here sometime and shed some light on the subject.

Yea i believe a few months ago he mentioned his car has the 4 on it and been pushed to levels he wouldnt recomend and still handled very well. But there are always eternals to work with if u are afraid.....i mean if u can afford the stage 4 then u should be able to afford the internals.

How much do internals usually go for?

Matters what all internally you are looking to get done and if you are able to do it yourself or have to pay a shop for the work done. I have talked to a guy on here and he can supply me a full package, rods, pistons, springs, retainers, etc. for right at 1000. And I would do the work myself. So in the end would be well worth it for me. If paying labor then price will sky rocket pretty fast.....

Where can you get forged internals for the 2.4. I've found pistons and rods, but I can't find an aftermarket crankshaft.

don't need one unless you plan on going over 500-600 hp...Thats what GM rates the 2.4 crank too.
