Help a fellow 2.4 (cobalt ss) owner out with some turbo stuff

Ok, so i will be purchasing the Alpine Developments 2.2 Turbo kit made for the base cobalt. I will be deleting the piggyback unit and 5th injector. It comes as a cold air intake pipe which i will be changing to a short ram to compliment the rk sport ram air hood. Also Alpine will be sourcing me a bigger turbo than what comes with the 2.2 kit since the 2.4 has different demands.

I have found that the 2.4 stock injectors are 24#'s and with a little more than 70% increase i will be needing 44# injectors. I need to know what company makes injectors that are 44# and will be a direct replacment without having to change injector harnesses as i would like to utilize as many stock componants as possible. A link would be great if somone knows of injectors that fit this bill. thanks.

Also, i'm sure the stock spark plugs will not be good to keep so im looking for suggestions on what sprk plugs to go with, most likely iridium im thinking but someone chime in on this as well if you have a good suggestion.

Once i can get all this in line and confirmed for use i will be ordereing everything and having it installed at ASAP Performance in Allison Park, PA. A special HP Tuners guy will be coming in and dyno tuning my cars engine and automatic transmission.

I also need some specs on the 4T45E auto tranny, im going to attempt to tune the car to put out 250 wtq and equal or slightly lesser whp and i hope that will be safe for the tranny. thanks.

thanks in advance for all your guys help on this matter. id like to order as soon as im sure of everything i'll need.

The same vendor has the Plugs you are looking for, just give them a call.
I believe he said they were NGK, but are not sure.

cool, what about injectors? this seems to be the biggest hurdle i have right now, the cobalts have been swapping injector harnesses from the 2.2 cobalts and using them to to run 2.0 injectors but i kinda just wanted a direct fit injector, i thought the turbo people around here would know right away.

What style plug is on your stock injector has. Is it a USCAR style? If so, you can usethe same injectors the Hahn kit, the Shearer Fab, or the Werks kit uses. I think 44# injectors are the largest you can get with a USCAR connector. Otherwise you'll need a jumper harness for something with a Bosch style connector. Intense Performance and a few other places sell a harness that takes the place of stock.

In regards to specs on the 4T45 transmission. You can go to this web page to get data on all GM engines and transmissions. Just select click on the SS (spec sheet) for the engine or transmission you want.

You have a USCAR connector then. You might want to look at the Ford Racing Bosch/Ford Cobra 39 lb "blue giant." Here's what the site says:

Quote:
Ford rates this injector at 39lbs/hr.
User Note: The Bosch/Ford 0280156127 is a highly efficient fuel injector that incorporates a wide-cone fuel delivery. Use in engines with single- and multi-intake valves.
(Actual bench flow-test indicates 42lbs/hr at 3 bar). All Blue Giants sold w/o electrical connectors

I'd post the link...but they're not a supporting vender.
