Is there any truth to the stuff "scdyne" was talking about having to retighten things a lot? Once you get everything bolted in and running well how much upkeep are you guys with the DDM SC running into if any?

The stuff he was talking about with re-torquing is with the turbos....

Not everyone wants to increase the hassle in proportion to performance. Personally I want a 50% increase in all performance and 0% increase in hassle. Having to run tuning software (or Dashhawk) 24/7 because of bad fuel, weather changes or to turn up the boost is a hassle. Having to re-torque hardware every week to prevent stuff from coming loose is a hassle. Having to listen for knock, pay attention to exactly where I get my fuel, and running the car for 10 minutes to cool the oil, ect is a hassle.

There are a lot of people that want no hassle once something is installed. There are a lot of tuner shops that want no hassle once something is installed.

Exactly right!

Apart from the initial belt readjustment (same as any new belt), I have checked clamps for security (expecially since so many of the turbo guys have found them loose) on occasion (always snug).

Unlike some of my s/c breathren, I do not have a Dashhawk (or similar gear) and I find that my concerns run more to price of gas at the pump than "is the weather changing"- hint- it is!

Like Matt (SolScuba), I actually drive my Solstice daily. With about 10,700 mi. on the DDMWorks install, that's pretty much "Set it and forget it" in my book!

aside: to LiteItUpSS's earlier post ( hmm maybe im missing something but for only 40hp/tq gain ...assuming the kit is running at least 2500...is not worth it at all....you could spend a little bit more than that on a turbo and make 100 more hp over stock )- that translates to a 28% gain over stock! But it seems that we are actually looking more at 50HP over stock~=33% increase for reasonable amount of scratch, IMHO.

Just so there's no confusion, 235 is 100 HP over stock!

235 hp to the wheels is about 100 over stock. That's with a stock cat I believe. Maybe not...

We should be hitting roughly 280 hp/290 tq to the crank though. GXP KILLER!!

I don't know if I mentioned it but I've put about 16,000 miles on my car since install...

Comparing a stock car to a modified one? That's easy. What happens when I slap a GT35R on a GXP?

Hss anybody ever seen a mallet s/c on a solstice or sky other then the sema sky two years ago? Anybody have one here on the forum? When I went to buy mine, they told me they were sold out. What if this mallet s/c was never sold due to tunning issues?????

I don't believe I have heard of one out there yet.
If you get the DDM Carl, I'll help you install it.

I'm actually a Werks guy, but I know Bill Hahn. Just trying to help a fellow solstice member, and very curious about the DDM kit.

Sorry, I've confused the issue...thought the "Carl" you referred to was a Forum member who

already has a Hahn. Obviously, I was presuming incorrectly.

You thinking of "carlintexas"? He was talking to me. I'm a Carl in Arizona.
