Anyone in California have any of the aftermarket turbos (Hahn, Werks, etc.) installed in their N/A sols? Just curious how you get around the smog and legality issues of driving the CA streets without being CARB certified.

Talked to a rep of a popular turbo dist. company and he told me that there are quite a few number of owners in CA that have ordered and installed these mods without the certification. And that getting around the visual inspection during smog is not really an issue for these owners as it seems to be an exaggerated issue.

Also, could it be that the unit is so easy to remove and put back on after the smog test which could make it possible to own one in CA? PM me if there are secrets cause I want to know! Thanks for you input.
