need to find coolant lines for the turbo

Heya, i took a picture but i don't have the correct usb mini cable here but i'm looking for the right coolant line to run to the turbo. There is the grouping of 1" rubber hoses near the rear (towards back of car) of the engine on the passenger side - i'm guessing these are correct but which one should we use?

Those look like the right lines. But I just cut mine in half and ran each side into the turbo and that was that.

Looks like a good spot to tap coolant lines. Anyone know where to pick up hard line tubing to the Mutsubishi TD05?

You will need two sets and toss the longer Pipe from each set.

What is the direction of coolant at those two hoses? The I'd of the tubing at that area is 1/2 or 5/8" and was worried necking it down to banjo bolt 1/8" holes is going to do for flow. Banjo bolt flow is all that is needed but didn't want to starve the engine of coolant and was looking at similar brass fittings that Hahn used to connect the braided oil line coming in.

Have you had any cooling issues and how do you use your car? For me its run 60 second auto cross shut the car off and pop the hood.

THX,

Norm

Coolant taken from inlet tube on engine and sent to the Turbo and returned inline back to the to the heater heater hose which was removed from the Tube on the engine.

Connections on the engine tube and heater hose are 3/4" ID. The bango tubes are 1/2" ID. Two sets of reducers were made and can be seen in the picture.

There is little effect on engine temp, however I'm using a performance radiator.

This car is only drivin around town for fun.

I went this route with cooling because the bearings in the turbo will not last long whith just oil for lubrication and cooling, as I have had to rebuild the turbo this past summer. You'll know when your bearings go out when a large cloud of smoke is left behind you......

Hope this answers your questions

Regards
Brian

I bought the car and it would smoke until the cat was warmed up to burn it off. Did you replace them with the stock brass? My kit comes in this week.

Thanks for the picture.

Hi Norm

I used OEM Mits parts. Not sure of exact material type, looks like brass, but not. Some type of special copper alloy.

A tip. Before removing the left hand nut holding the turbine on. Mark its location in relation to the compression wheel., otherwise it will no longer be balanced when you reasemble
