just got off the phone from bill hahn (owner) & what we really had here, was a failure to communicate between, myself, staff, & the reflashing department. after he looked into it for a bit, it turns out that some of their records that they were relying on weren't all there, that is because instead of e-mail, i was contacting them by phone before, in which they have no records of. once bill got involved, the turbo will be fixed & returned to me tomorrow, NOW that's what i call service. i was kind of hoping all it was, was getting a hold of the right person, i was not happy to leave them, & the main reason is that everyone else is super happy with their product, & i feel i should be as well.
and again, thank's bill for all of your time & extra effort here. i own a business as well & know it can become quite taxing at times.

Doglas, do not mean to bust your bubble. A couple of questions for you. Do you have a wideband installed? Are your readings in range? Do you have a boost gauge? Do you have a vacumm leak? Are you monitoring your oil levels? Have you noticed oil leaks?
The last thing we want to see is this turbo causing more troubles in the future. Turbos are not for everybody, but they can be safely used if the basics^^^^ are followed.

yup, i have a wideband, & boost gauge, no vacumm leak, or oil leak, the wideband readings were 12.3-12.5 throught the rpm range, as noted per installer, he also said the maf is covered in oil, so when i get this back, all should be great.

Actualy quite the opposite will happen. The water will make the MAF sensor think there is a TON of air going into the motor and inject the appropirate amount of fuel.
It will drown in gasoline.
Also when there is a misfire the WB reads lean. This is because it reads the amount of O2 left in the exhauist stream. If abnormal combustion occured (too rich misfires, etc) It will show up as unused O2. Even though it's wicked rich.

Agreed there! .

Not to mention, the Garrett GT's are throwaways, for they are not field-rebuildable should the need arise, .

Well sorta- Garrett will buy back the cartrige from you and sell you a replacement for about 25% the cost of a new one. They really like to take them apart and see how you broke it..... Makes a better product.
