questions about a DDM stage II

I just got my Solstice on Saturday. I actually traded SolScuba. He got my truck and I got his car. Anyway, I have had the car put on three seperate computers and they are all telling me that the car is running lean. He had already installed the 42lb injectors on it but he never changed out the fuel pump to a higher output one. Could this be causing my problem?
Also, when you let up on the gas pedel the rpm's continue to rise another 500 to 1000. I was thinking it was maybe loosing vacuum pressure or do these cars just do that when this kit is installed.
Thanks for any input...

Well first off, congrats on getting a great car from a great guy. Second, I'm sure Dave from DDMWorks will chime in when he reads this. He can surely help you out. I wonder what the limits are with our fuel pump...I know our injectors are pretty good from what I have read.

I have stage II and am not experiencing this. There is an update kit from DDM that moves the MAF sensor closer to the engine. Does yours have this change?
I suggest you talk with DDM.

I've talked to the mechanic up at work who used o be a gm tech, and he said that if he recalled correctly he thought it was thirty six. He wasn't possitve though.

And about the MAF, to my knowledge it doesn't have it, but I could be wrong, I haven't gotten a complete mod list on the car the yet.

Congratulations on getting SolScuba's ride. Dave and Randy will help you out with your issue! There are threads you will want to read regarding belt tension, checking for leaks - stuff like that.

What AFR did the computers show? Was this test done on a Dyno?

Congratulations. See if I can answer some questions.

Pop the hood, follow the air charge pipe from the air filter to the engine. If your MAF sensor is right behind the air filter you don't have the upgrade. Now Matt's car has always run lean, no one knows why. I have the same set up and don't have a lean issue, infact i would like it to run leaner, get tired of cleanning the soot off the back of the car, but that is another issue.

General consensus is that there is an air leak somewhere in the system on that car. Matt swears he has checked and checked, but I suggest you start there. Contact Randy at DDM or Dave and they will work with you to sort this out. Did Matt have a second ECU and did you get it? If so you might want to send it back to DDM to get it re-programed.

Fuel pump is good with the new injectors, that is not an issue.

Good luck and enjoy the ride.

Hello and welcome to the club!

Matt already had the newest version of the kit on his car. I was able to see the car over the July 4th holiday in Michigan. You are welcome to contact us through email or over the phone anytime at 864-907-6004 for any support that you need.

I am also sending you a PM with a couple questions about the state of the car since I last saw it.

Thanks!
Dave
