   Cooled Seats?

There was talk in another thread about cooled seats. How did this project turn out?

I was the one who did cooled seats. From the beginning, I knew it was going to be an experiment. I spent a fair amount of money on it and in the end, I don't feel it is worth the $$ invested. Joe did a great job on it and even improved the design over what you can buy. However, for the $$ its not worth it. The system just works fair. If you want leather seats, get those from Joe for sure, as his seats are top knotch!!

Yup, like John said, we went into this project not knowing what to expect since we hadn't done a cooled setup. BTW, the seats are actually ventilated, not cooled. I'm not sure of any way to pipe in cold air at the moment.

The setup moves almost three times the air as the vented seat kits that are available online or through katzkin. This is evident when you stick your hand over the seat and feel the air going around your fingers. You even feel it when you sit down in the seat. However, I think the summer sun is just too strong to be overpowered (especially in florida).
