I just received my center console and it is awsome. Thanks Joe. Since I had the back of the car completely de-badged I wanted the word Solstice embroidered w/red stitching to match the seats.

Very easy to take off, lift up in the rear, pull slightly aft to and slide over the emergency brake

Deepbluegxp, you will really enjoy the padded feature. It made such a big difference in mine. Just that extra little bit of padding makes a huge difference in elbow comfort. It looks gorgeous and matches your interior to perfection. I would say, it is your little miracle in the middle of the cabin! Life is good!

Looks great--quality work from the photo. Only thing to me is the mismatched materials from the covered arm rest and the pastic interior it bumps up against. Get the rest covered for a finished look.

To answer your question nunz4, yes he got the padding, I can tell by the way it fits, as it sits up at the front 1/4 inch and the same in the back. The reason I ordered my "Miracle in the center of the Cabin" was because I was sick and tired of resting my elbow on that hard plastic plastic that GM provided us with. After awile you develop a sore spot on your elbow especially on hard shifts. With the JPM 3/4 inch padding in the center part where my red diamond stitch is located, compressed it measures 1/4 inch in height installed and is firm but has a cushioned feel to it and much easier on the anatomy and it looks like it came from the factory like that. Joe at JPM is the best.

For more information, you may want to check out my thread "Miracle in the middle of the Cabin".

Thanks GXPinKC ! I also saw yours ..unbelievable the difference it makes, yours looks awsome as well, excellent design! I now know I gotta do it. my elbow is also developing that tender feeling after driving my new car for only two weeks. my right knee has been feeling the same. I use to drive a 350z for the past 4 years, and now, made the swith to the GXP, and love it. I am going to try and follow your removal instructions, if I get it off
easy, I will cover the hole with a couple of black towels and send it off to JPM. it makes a huge difference cosmetically as well as functional...best mod I have seen so far this problem .thanks again! Caesar

I'll post my pictures when the parts arrive.. Joe just got them this week after I sent them to his old location! DOH!

I'm getting the wrap around lower IP piece wrapped in leather. The leather will only go up to the "seam" on the drivers side... as Joe indicated he can't pull the leather tight if he goes up any further. I didn't want a mismatch in the center of the car like that... so it was worth the extra effort.

And let me tell ya... it was a lot of effort to get that piece out... lots of others have to come out first, but once you know how it's not really that bad.
