Bad Luck!

I've had a run of bad luck recently. Last night was the real kicker with my ragtop lifting up while on the highway because the latch wasn't secure. I was planning to run with the top down and undid the latch, got called into the house and when I returned to the car, it was raining. Took off without re-latching and at 70 mph, it blew back. Frame is bent. Need to find a new frame or used frame.

Someone entered into my vehicle and stole sunglasses but more importantly, my Owners Manual!! They also broke the center console cover, thinking it was a storage compartment. Now I need to replace that too. GM no longer manufactures the console cover.

Any suggestions on where I can find replacements?

I suggest not looking for a top frame, the process to remove and replace the canvas is not fun. Your best bet is going to be a complete used top, although new ones are occasionally available.

For the manual I would got to helminc.com They have original manuals and complete portfolios for '06, '07, and '09s, and reproduction manuals for '08s.

Can the console armrest be repaired? Broken tabs can be re-attached. They do occasionally appear on eBay, and the Sky uses the same one so broaden your search.

Check carparts.com for a wrecker that is selling Solstice or Sky parts and contact them about both of the parts you need.

Good Luck.

The center console is listed at parts.com. Check there

Ask them about a top assembly too. They had a few last time I checked

My dad has a nice condition black top for an 06 he'd take around $300 for. Memphis TN.

He also has a center console but it's not the black color.

He actually has an entire 06 he's parting out, I just haven't listed anything on here yet....was giving the Denver club an opportunity to have first dib's.

The attached TSB has the breakpoints for the switch from Plan A to Plan B weatherstrips. It's a bit more complicated that your statement.

Just a for what it's worth.

Have a great weekend!
