Driving through the drifts...

No not snow drifts although my yard looked like this two weeks ago.

The sand drifts at the national seashore.

It is amazing how close you can drive next to the Gulf of Mexico.

There are some old WWII batteries along the coast to protect us from the U-boats.

Caught this Pelican in flight while taking a photo of the scenery. Definitely heading to that lighthouse in the distance.

More drifts to deal with.

A couple beach shots for those tired of seeing the Solstice.

Not Florida without a palm tree.

Like this shot of the car.

Found the lighthouse. It is on the Pensacola Naval Air Station.

Views from the top of the lighthouse. This one shows where I was when I took the photo of the pelican.

Looking east.

West

The spiral stairs were very interesting.

The base also houses the National Aviation Museum. It was awesome! I won't bore you with too many photos since this is a car forum.

Awesome attack drone.

There was a car in the museum. Couldn't tell if it was a Pontiac.

The solstice got close up and personal with some of the aircraft.

Ended the day at a hotel overlooking the I-10 bridge over Pensacola Bay

Almost nice enough to forgive you for posting warm weather pics during February!

The aviation museum would be cool to see. We have the "Air Zoo" in Kalamazoo and they have some incredible exhibits there also.

2007 2.4L N/A. Stock + some pretty crap.

My BIL recently bought a place near Weeki Wachee so I hope to get down there one weekend before it gets too hot to put the top down.
