So the insurance company is paying for your wheel upgrade? Whacha gonna get?

Seriously though, sorry to see you suffer this abuse. A garage is a wonderful thing to have.

Although a pain in the ass that it has to be done in the first place, wheels will be a relatively easy replacement. Did you have special keyed wheel locks/studs on?

What about the damage done to your underside throwing rocks under there??

I'm truly sorry for your loss @RedOne07 😞

With my avatar and my forum name . . . . . . not even in my wildest dreams I could have imagined people would think this silver Solstice is actually mine. :-)

I posted that later after I noticed the misunderstanding.

At first I thought it was my former car and my heart skipped.

What a crappy world we live in.

Driving and working on a Sly 2008 Solstice GXP 5spd 260/260, and the worst-built 2012 LS3 Camaro 1SS to escape from Oshawa.

Gone but not forgotten:
2007 Solstice GXP 5 speed 290/340

Stored and needing to part ways with a 1970 Skylark Custom convertible I have owned since 1989 and turned into a GS455 clone. 462 with 7/8 primary headers, adjustable roller rockers, TA Performance Stage 1 aluminum heads, auto, Chevy 12 bolt, 3.31:1. Sadly a project car now but a driver from '89 to '06.

RedOne, where'd you find the pics, and do you know the history?

Looking at the photos, I would guess this: from the looks of the rotors, the car had been abandoned for several days. Could have been left on the side of the road by the driver, then thieves stole the wheels; it could have been a stolen vehicle, driven to that spot where they stole the wheels, abandoned the car and found several days later.

Considerate thieves. #1) They could have done much more damage to the car. #2) they could have left it on the ground. #3) by putting it on rocks they might have thought they were doing the owner a favor. Most cars could "safely" sit like that and I doubt the knew enough about the Solstice to know the rocks would damage the body.

And I'm sure they probably didn't really care.

It's still sad to see. Kind of like that vandalized DARE Solstice that showed up on the forum a while back.

I agree with ChrisBlair, it's a crappy world we're living in. You always have to be careful.

I'm aware of your username (although given letter capitalization in different spots it could mean ReDone07 :-) ) as well as your avatar.

Although my username has nothing to do with a car it was created when I had a red Solstice. Now I have a cool colored Solstice. Things change....

The non-american license plate and the fact that your location is listed as Europe made me think....maybe it's yours? Especially since the license plate in your avatar is an American plate. For all I knew you moved to Europe and the shipping/fee's were not worth the expense to get your car out there so you bought a car that was already there....a cool colored one. You don't have a "garage" on the site so I can see what you actually do have.

That is why I thought it was your car. Your dreams don't seem very wild =). I was legitimately sad for you when I saw the pictures. Now of course, I feel differently....

In any event its a sad sight to see, especially given it's cool color!

Cheers.

Hard to imagine stuff like this still happens. Who still takes wheels? Is this still a thing in places in the world?

Where are you located Kappasky? This stuff happens every hour of the day. Thieves are no longer punished for their acts. Non violent offense, arrest and release in California.

Oh, now I get it. The "red" in your forum name is for your Aggressive Solstice! Not Nadir Khayat!

Wheel locks are a sham. They might deter a punk kid just looking for the rush of steeling something for the sake of it, but they'll hardly slow down a "professional" thief. I've removed many a set myself after the owner lost their key.
