That is incredibly hilarious - in a very grotesque kinda way. lol

Did he look kind of like this?

Thanks ER, but why is your car at the bottom of your swimming pool?

Got new tires put on the Sky rims I bought at NASSAM last year! I don't think the Sky rims are any better, just different. Because of the angles they flash more. I like them!

I have to admit I like them better too. I still have my chrome Solstice rims, but I do really like the polished Sky ones.

Today's project with my son Will was to install a backup camera. I already have a new Kenwood head unit that I installed last fall. It has a 6.95" screen and was just begging for a backup camera to complete the package. I picked up a EchoMaster - License Plate Back-Up Camera from Best Buy's deal of the day for $49.99

To start the process we look for access points for the wiring from the camera to enter the rear of the Solstice by the license plate bracket. We were able to fish the camera's video RCA and power plugs through the License plate light cavity and around to drivers side below the driver's side stop light lens. We then fish it in the rear fender and in to the cabin. We removed the rear molding behind the driver's seat and the trim molding below the door and fished the cable up to the dash behind the driver's kick panel. We finish running the cables through the dash behind the radio for our connections.

In the rear we spliced into the driver's side reverse light for the positive and negative connections to power the camera when in reverse and an additional positive wire that goes the radio to trigger the radio to switch to the camera when the car is in reverse. The job took about three hours to complete and works great. Here are a few pictures of the work.

Sized up for, and ordered a couple duffel bags for travel in the future. I'll keep the group posted if they fit.

They fit! Check post under this area: https://www.solsticeforum.com/forum/...54/index3.html

The engines nearly ready to be pulled out, just need to deal with the flex plate/torque converter.

I'm ordering an ATK engine tomorrow and will hopefully have it sitting in place by next weekend.

Happy holidays!
