Our coupes are getting older and some have high miles. We are still in the depreciation stage and probably will be for a while yet. Anyone that bought these for an investment may be disappointed. Enjoy these great cars and if they eventually appreciate, then great.

But to be expected.

I'd amend that to say that they WILL be disappointed. No way will these cars be an 'investment' within any reasonable time frame. I think that my 1988 Fiero GT is now back to being worth a bit less than what I paid for it as a used car 30 years ago. So we have to look at what the coupes were worth at the age of two or three years and anticipate that they will again be worth that somewhere around 2039.....

Current fleet:
1957 Jamaican bodied MGA
1958 MGA Twin Cam (race car)
1962 MGA Deluxe Coupe
1971 Jensen Interceptor
2009 Pontiac Solstice GXP Coupe
2007 BMW Z4M coupe
Recently departed: 1965 Jensen CV8, 1969 Lamborghini Islero S, 1988 Pontiac Fiero GT, 1969 MGC roadster

Thanks Wicked for the comment on how the coupes are doing fiscally as i'm debating on whether or not to go too the 2019 NASSAM as my worry would be putting a lot km on the car going that far from were i live & the wear & tear on the car. It seems to me all the mods we put on our coupes reflects little on the price but more on how many kms are on it. There are exceptions i guess at times. Just my opinion.

They may not be appreciating, but they are losing value much less than the convertibles or the average vehicle out there. Most GXP Coupes are listed for near or above their MSRP. Of course, there are exceptions, and plenty of owners and dealers don't know what they have and list them for book value. Those are the ones I try to bring into the charity program. This last scenario applies to lower mile verts as well - cars with 12-29K miles - they can be found for 9-11 grand and can be resold for many thousands more.

We all see a lot of "asking" prices for the coupes, but do we really know how much they are really selling for?

I know I'm partial to my Coupe, but I just can't get over how much nicer I believe the black Solstice looks with a black grille. It seems all of the black NA Solstice's have the center 2-part grille painted white. IMO, the car looks so much richer with that part painted with the car.

I must have missed a Que of late as this is the second in recent time that I have NOT been able to attach a photo by drag & drop. I believe it is the same source I have always used, but no files can be included. Sorry. That does make it more difficult to make the point easiest for everyone. (must be a file size issue that never seemed to be an issue before. the NA photo was copied from craigslist so is obviously smaller) Oh well, just use your imagination.

Unless they’ve been painted after purchase, all NAs have white (actually, silver, I think) grills and GXPs have black grills.

I agree. I think it gets even better with Norm’s Recessed Grills.
