Electrical connectors

I'm trying not to break something so, I need some help. I have a 2008 GXP and the check engine activated. Took the car to Autozone for their free analyzer. It showed a need for a new Camshaft Position Activator which they do not sell. I would like to test the resistance with my meter but I can't get the electrical connectors removed from the sensors. I don't want to force them off and possibly breal them. How are they removed ?

You have to pull out the grey lock tab first, then squeeze the catch and pull.
