Fender to hood align passenger side

Hoping for some replies before I go at it again...

Fender, battery area, leading edge needs to go out 1/4".

Loosened top fender screws and wheel cowling screws.

Pulled fender out slightly, not enough.

Is the inside fender bolt/screw, near the 'rod' slotted to where I can get a little more slack?

Drivers side fender to hood balls on.

The rod that goes at an angle up to the upper forward corner of the panel can be moved outward a little. It can also be moved outward at the bottom of that same diagonal rod. That should solve your problem, hopefully. If you feel under the upper forward part of the panel where the rod attaches, you will find a bolt which (i think) takes a 10mm wrench.

Sometimes it gets complicated but if the other side is OK and the hood lines up with the doors and the front fascia, it is probably all in that panel adjustment. If the battery has been replaced at some point, that rod could have been moved.

Bill.

Thanks for the reply. I bought a CD Service Manual, although somewhat helpful, it's far away from what I would call a service manual.

The reason I posted is because the manual shows a picture of the driver's side and is different than the right. No mention of the hidden bolt inside of the fender at the rod.
