Parking Brake failure

Just wanted to say a HUGE thank you to everyone on this forum.

I experienced the common parking brake excessive handle travel followed by lack of proper parking brake engagement.

Here in England, we are required to get an annual safety certification (MOT Test). My sub 40,000 mile car failed on parking brake.

The advise on this forum led me to buy a caliper tool, remove the rear calipers and screw in the pistons. A soft cluck sound pointed to stuck adjustment mechanism fix.

Brakes work like new again.

Appreciate the help.

Regards

Andrew

Yes, brake pedal is now rock hard. Awesome.

I'm in Leicestershire county, Central England. My 2007 Solstice 2.4 was gifted to me by my uncle in Toronto, Canada. I lived there for over 10 years. I imported it and love it. It get serious attention here.

Regards

Andrew

I had a friend in Cambridge that imported a Roush Mustang. (Roughly 700HP if I recall correctly.) He said it was great other than having to go into and out of the gated office car park backwards so he could reach the security card reader.

I recommended taping the card to the end of a telescoping pole.
