Welcome aboard Bert !

I think you need a GM Dealer with a Tech2.

H&H (previous Nefkens) is an Opel Dealer also specializes in US cars (they import for instance Cadillac, Camaro and Corvette) and can certainly do that. They are also one of the two recommended (by GM Nederland) dealers to service Pontiac Solstice cars.

Garage
Bought a stock 6 disc radio from a forum member and installed it.

Took it to local Chevy dealer and the did their thing for about 45 to 60 minutes. Cost me about $35, if I remember correctly.

Find someone with the Chinese clone of the Tech 2 It will unlock the radio for you. I have one and it works very well.

Or worst case, take the radio apart and install a blank eeprom chip

Yeah, if you can solder, then this is the cheapest way to go. Details are here: https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/how-...w-radio-49106/

However, if you cannot solder, or don't want the hassle, then as others said: pay the dealership or find someone else with a TechII.

A Tech2 or equivalent maybe. I haven't tried it but, based on its other capabilities the VCX Nano should be able to do this as well.

@RedOne07 what do you think?

I have been in contact with the VCX Nano team a few times and they say it does not support changing any parameters on a Solstice . . . . but I am not 101% sure they are correct about that.

Check PMs please

Driving and working on a Sly 2008 Solstice GXP 5spd 260/260, and the worst-built 2012 LS3 Camaro 1SS to escape from Oshawa.

Gone but not forgotten:
2007 Solstice GXP 5 speed 290/340

Stored and needing to part ways with a 1970 Skylark Custom convertible I have owned since 1989 and turned into a GS455 clone. 462 with 7/8 primary headers, adjustable roller rockers, TA Performance Stage 1 aluminum heads, auto, Chevy 12 bolt, 3.31:1. Sadly a project car now but a driver from '89 to '06.
