top acess door will not open when finally opened will not stay up

having trouble deck lid opening . will not stay open appears spring on pass side broken are parts available how do you you replace?

I assume you are referring to the torsion bar being broken. I'm pretty sure those parts are still available through a dealer parts department. Rob the Elder has a pretty good description of how to replace these, somewhere, if you can find it. In order to replace a torsion bar, you need to remove both the rear fascia and the rear bumper cover. It is a PITA job, in my opinion, best left to a dealer to do.

thanks for the info. I determined the torsion bar on one side is broken. will try to find one and replace thanks. will try the spring idea also

replacing the torsion bar is tedious but not hard. You need to remove the rear bumper cover, then you will have direct access to the torsion bars.
