Just in time

Took the Solstice on it's last run of the season Friday as it was supposed to rain Saturday and Sunday. Decided I would detail the paint on the SUV before the snow flies as I wasn't going to be spending much time working outside.

Replacement carburetor for my Honda quad was due for delivery on Sunday. Told my wife that if it shows up, I'll get it put together so I can get the quad out of my pole barn, freeing up room to store the lawn tractor and park the pick up in there. Carb showed up, Honda put together and running, mounted the snowplow on it and pulled it behind the house.

Woke up this morning to 6+ inches of snow.

I love it when a plan comes together!

We had snow this weekend. 4 inches in the morning, sun came out. Dry pavement by afternoon. No hydrocarbons involved. :-)

Had to plow again when I got home last night. Thought I was overestimating the amount of snow so I dug my foot down to the turf and gauged it against my leg - boot top high. Measured the boots when I got back into the garage - 11 inches. Might have been a little drifting on that side of the house but not likely. It was a very heavy and wet snow.
