Ability to edit subject line & delete thread

Would it be possible to allow members to edit the subject line of their own thread? I've had to contact forum administrators several times in order to have my threads subject title be edited. It would be much be an efficient to both forum members and administrators. As long as I'm wishing, I'd also like to be able to delete my own threads within 24 hours. I sometimes post a new thread, only to see that the same subject was posted right around the same time. But I'd settle for being able to edit the subject line...for now.

Just checked and can confirm that there is a 5 min time limit after your thread/post goes up that you can go back to edit your title if you wish. There is also a 30 day limit for editing your thread/post content as well.

We can consider increasing the time limit for thread title edits if you find it would be helpful. How much time would you say you find yourself wanting to edit your title, like within 24 hrs or days later?

Thanks,
Nate

24 hours at the minimum sounds good. Though 24 days may sound better to administrators, when it comes to people selling cars (or parts) who may lower their prices after a few weeks. Thanks in advance.

Thanks, we'll wait awhile before bringing this to the mods so we can hear a bit more from the community about this.

I would love to have the editing of my titles available to me for more than 5 minutes. I am a poor typist and sometimes make mistakes in the titles that I don,t catch until the post is a few minutes old.
