Log in fine, sometimes cannot post, told to log in

Then when I try to log in again, I'm told I'm logged in and I'm being silly.

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot Over

Yes have tried "remember me". No impact on the issue

Driving and working on a Sly 2008 Solstice GXP 5spd 260/260, and the worst-built 2012 LS3 Camaro 1SS to escape from Oshawa.

Gone but not forgotten:
2007 Solstice GXP 5 speed 290/340

Stored and needing to part ways with a 1970 Skylark Custom convertible I have owned since 1989 and turned into a GS455 clone. 462 with 7/8 primary headers, adjustable roller rockers, TA Performance Stage 1 aluminum heads, auto, Chevy 12 bolt, 3.31:1. Sadly a project car now but a driver from '89 to '06.

I literally just tried to reply to an active topic. Told that I'm not logged in.

True but that shouldn't be necessary.

Was there a deleted reply, or was I seeing a reply to another thread? Refresh issue maybe?

Everything I do is up to me, obviously, but I was able to start this thread, then I tried to reply to an active topic and was told I needed to log in, then when I did I was told I was already logged in.

My experience tells me that successfully logging in and starting a thread means I have performed my process correctly.

Subsequently and immediately being informed that I must log in again, then when I do so being told I am already logged in, does not seem to be a failure in my process, especially since now- without doing anything at all- I can reply to the thread I was unable to reply in originally.

If non-action on my part allows success- which has happened- then something outside of my side of things is logically going on.

So this was my issue. Here's the steps I did:

click the remember me box
login
close all windows of the browser you're using
open browser up
go back to solstice forum

at this point you should be logged in now...

****Trust me, clearing your cache isn't going to solve the issue!!!**** It's an obvious problem with the webpage itself and certain settings within the browser. What those settings are??? I have no clue.

OK Chris, I had the same. The only way it works for me is if I log in First Thing when I open the main page. For instance I tried to answer and had to go back and start from scratch in order to reply. Good luck!

CMP forums was doing a similar thing last year. Frustrating. I wonder if I can post this.
