With not only the recent software upgrade but also changes in registration procedures due to anti-spam measures, some new members are experiencing difficulty with posts, PM's, and editing user profiles.
In order to continue posting, each new member must have their first post approved. No editing of content or censorship takes place, it is simply reviewing the post for blatant spam. Nobody has seen any significant spam since this measure was initiated. It sometimes takes a while for us (the moderating staff) to notice the pending posts - so please have patience, we will get to them all. Following approval it also takes a while for the software scripts to run that will upgrade you to full member status. The ability to edit your profile and send and receive PM's is tied to having a post count of 1 or higher.
Post counts are not generated in each and every area of the forum. https://www.solsticeforum.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=21310
The site help and general off-off topic areas are some that do not. So if your first posts, for example, are all in the site help area trying to find out why you can't access PM's or edit your profile, this will continue to be the reason why.
Members are not required to post in order to enjoy other benefits of the forum such as finding information and viewing discussions. But if you want to modify your basic settings it will require at least one post in an enthusiast area (including regional discussions).
Thank you for your understanding and patience as you become contributing members. Welcome to solsticeforum.com, the internet's Solstice community.
