We've talked about a motorsports forum, but usually add them as they are needed. Nobody's put one on a track, and only a couple have autoxd them.

Thanks for the suggestions, keep 'em up. We use this feedback to figure out where to take the forum in the future.

Part of the consideration is the "fit" of the car to the "form" of the forum. In the beginning, we weren't sure if this would be a race car, the next ricer/tuner, the car that everyone that buys one feels unity with another (sort of like the Corvette), or the next car that everyone would be swapping engines in.

An unexpected issue was how important the "getting your solstice" section would become - so much that for a while it was one of the larger sub-forums here...

Well, it turns out that the car is a bit of everything... so it's a big job to figure out a somewhat "even" distribution of topics. We see some merit in your suggestions, and will prolly incorporate elements of them. We are trying to do a quarterly review and periodic re-organizations will be a part of that.

Thanks

Okay, here is an idea. It seems that every modification (exhaust, CAI, etc) ends up getting tons of threads. Yet, I looked at the gallery, and there were very few pictures of products under supported venders. So... here is a thought.

1. Get supporting vendors to post their pics in here as well as in their threads.
2. Place the original thead related to the pic under the pic
3. Place the supporting vendor member name under the pic.

This would certainly help me for one stop shopping. Also, don't know if this is possible, but:

Could do the same thing for unsupporting vendors. This would only be if these products don't directly conflict with supporting vendor products. For instance, we have many people that are getting aftermarket antennas. Could we post a pic of these mods along with the thread, etc as above? If another antenna vendor begins to support this site, these could be taken down.

Also, there are Mods that members are doing that don't require a vendor. People painting their chromies, etc. It seems that many of these don't get entered into the modifications part of the gallery either. If we could do the same for these (thread, member name, etc), it would help all that want to add a little something to their solstice.

Thanks for your consideration

Mallet Forum

SM, any chance of getting a Mallet Forum? You know we are going to have our special problems to discuss.

We don't specificaly support any one vendor over another, however once enough V8/V6 Solstices have actually started hitting the roads a section like that might be a good idea.

What is currently being discussed is a "light mod" section, a "heavy mod" section, and a racing section (already up). Possibly something like an "engine swaps and radical mods" section. Still working on it, so stay tuned.

I'm not sure i'm in the right spot...but momssol pointed me this way

a couple of months ago you mods re-organized and started (pardon the expression) selling Lifetime memberships

up to that point if I wanted to PM a group of NEO's I could do 5 at a time

but ever since this membership thing i am restricted to sending a PM to only one member at a time

I have tried many times to do multiples...but was told i can only go one at a time

Did i piss someone off ...or what

now if i want to PM my buddies at NEO land i have to do it one at a time or copy and paste the same thing 5 times

Please elucidate

Druid-2,

I'll try and answer with what I know.

Troy Roberts, as you know, owns several forums. When the supporting membership was started here, he took the opportunity to even-up the rights and privileges among the most popular forums to be more consistent.

I assume, though I don't have any admin rights on the others (save for skyroadster, still considered in its infancy without a supporting membership), that the permissions are all similar across corvetteforum, gtoforum, ssrfanatic, etc.

I know there was a change in permissions for many things, including size of avatars, animated avatars, sizes of profile pics, attachment rights, and PM box size and number to send at a time.

Troy could elucidate better, but that is what I know - further info you can try and get by PMing Troy Roberts.

HTH

Have you tried actually doing that though? It might say you can and let you type them in, but try sending a PM to more then one at a time to see if it really works.
