Plasti dipping my entire Pontiac solstice !

Hey guys! I recently just plasti dipped my entire car. Let me know what you guys think about it. I did film the process. You guys can see the video here. Also, any suggestions on rims?

I'll never understand why people do this especially if you have a nice paint job I guess if you want to cover up a mess than I can see someone doing it . And no I didn't waste my time watching the video I've seen enough of these to form my opinion again it's my opinion .

What he said. I also don't understand why you would duplicate this post in other threads that are completely unrelated.

well... the video was nicely made.
The car looks nice and clean in the end.
Just not my cup of tea...
But if you like it, that is all that matters.

I was just tired of seeing my car the same. Lol. It’s peelable and helps protect the paint ! Not permanent you guys. Calm down haha.

I started out thinking, why? Why would you want to do this? When I saw the Solstice in red I couldn't imagine wanting to cover that beautiful paint. After the video... I'm impressed. That gives the car a custom look and it really looks good. Very interesting. Super job and thanks for sharing. I'm a firm believer that personal touches on cars are just that...personal. I appreciate your effort. Great job and keep on sharing.

Thanks guys. Of course I love my red paint. Wouldn’t ever change that color permanently which is why I did plastidip. Anyways ! Any suggestions on wheels?? I love the multiple spoke look. I loved the wheels in the left picture but the company no longer makes the rim. You guys know any similar wheels? By the way. Here’s another photo of my car after a few days of being dipped.

Impressed by the video production values. Nice job with the plasti-dip, althoug not personally a fan of the semi-matt finish (on this or the factory job on other expensive cars where this seems to be a fad now).

But you like it and I'm sure many others do too, so good for you!

I probably would have chosen a trendier color/finish since it's removable, but like you said it's temporary. I like the beginning of your vid, I've always looking for what I call car porn of the Solstice (but don't google car porn) so you might consider offering your videography and editing services to other car enthusiasts. I especially like it when drone footage is edited into a car video.
