Attention all Kappa Car Owners and other interested friends. The Jacksonville Roadsters Car Club is celebrating our eighth year anniversary run this month with a repeat of the first ever run. Eight years ago, Karen and me along with Winston and Shirley Sapp, Guy and Eleanor Fella, and Tom and Maria Moore met at Palm Coast Home Depot and set out on the clubís inaugural car run down US 1, onto SR-11, to SR 40, to SR-19, SR-20 to SR-100 ending with lunch at Corky Bellís Seafood and Steaks at Gator Landing overlooking the St. Johnís River in East Palatka. And the rest is historyÖand that was the beginnings of Jacksonville Roadsters Car Club. Join us as we celebrate our anniversary. The staging area is the Home Depot, 10 Garden Street North, Palm Coast, FL at 10:15am, August 15, 2015. We will depart 10:30am sharp! At the completion of the run, we will have lunch at Corky Bellís Steak and Seafood Restaurant at Gator Landing, 185 South Highway 17, East Palatka. Just a side note, on the original run we stopped at Salt Springs Recreation Area of the Ocala National Forest. Unfortunately, the day entry fee is $6.00 per person and for the little amount time we would be at the springs, I thought it was too costly to do this time. So, it is a car run and lunch at Corky Bellís celebrating eight years of Kappa car history and friendship. Please join us. RSVP Gene and Karen Smith at [email protected]
or calling (386) 445-5346 by NLT the close of business Thursday, August 13, 2015. Hope to see you in Palm Coast as we relive the beginnings of our wonderful friendly group of roadster owners!
