ATruck load of Solstice spotted in central VA!

I had to stop by a local NAPA store on RT.1 just south of a local Pontiac dealer. As I made my turn into the NAPA parking lot the familar backsides of the load on the car carrier caught my eye. I checked it out, and there were 6 Solstice still on the carrier and 2 had just been off-loaded to the local dealer. It would have made a great picture, but sad to say I didn't have my camera handy. I any case, VA owners take heart your car may be on the way. The remaining cars on the carrier were: 1 Deep w/ chrome wheels, 2 Sly 1 w/ polished wheels 1 w/ painted wheels, 2 Mysterious 1 w/painted wheels 1 w/polished wheels, 1 Cool, I don't remember which wheels it had. Good luck!

That would be fitting considering our VINs and dealers are so close

Don't mind the drool!

If one of these cars find it's way into your driveway don't think unkindly of me for drooling all over your beauty.

OUCH!!

Well I feel for you man! My wife's transmision went out yesterday, and we could really use the car.

In fact, for the first time, I went to the forum and ranted about all the mis-information.

Hopefully GM is listening.

Well good luck, I hope you get your car soon.

Best, Tim.

I knew it was too good to be true, I mean come on! All of those cars that were just built have priority over cars built a month in a half ago.

Pontiac has 21 days left to deliver my Solstice otherwise I'm looking elseware.

been waiting this long.....hang in there for the long haul......shouldnt be that much longer....but agree...very frustrating to see a car ordered and delivered in less that 40 days....when we have been watching ours sit after being produced almost that long now!!!!!!!

I've just about lost all the joy of getting this car over the last 2 months since it was built. You know getting a new car (this is my first new car btw) is supposed to be enjoyable. When I first placed that $1k down back in April and was told a late September/early October delivery I was alright with that, it gave me time to save up money (at the time, the $1k was all I had in savings, my Sunfire needed $1200 worth of work done to it the week before).

Now it's December, all of my co-workers think I'm nuts and doubt I'll ever get the car. Everyday since 10/14 when I told them it was built they keep asking me, "did you get your car yet?" and everyday it's always the same, "Nope, it's still 122 miles away sitting at the plant." Then they ask "Why can't you just go pick it up?" and I reply, "Nope, GM won't do that even though it'd make too much sense especially considering my dealer is 180 miles Southwest of where I live."

Pontiac is lucky that there are no other alternatives in the Solstice's price range (when you factor insurance) or I would have went out today and got something else. Pontiac doesn't deserve $25k of my hard earned cash the way they've treated the whole ordering process. Yeah, I can understand that the cars need to be inspected, fine, do it in the order they were built in, not the crazy last-in-first-out deal that's been going on as of late.

::End rant::

seeing more and more 5000 series cars shipping just makes it even more frustrating..for all of us.....I have pinged GM email twice this week thru the customer service line...and silence is deafening from their end.......

BTW we are beginning to sound like the F1K folks when their cars started to ship....and delay after delay...after delay.......we grew into the shoes of those who lead the way!!!!!!!
