It would be nice if we could get one started. I am so jealous when I see all the other areas getting together.

Anyone have any ideas?
Someone needs to step up to the plate!

Make a list of all NC and SC Forum members, get their cities, phone numbers, email addresses.

Schedule an event and contact each person personally, don't just depend on a thread on the Forum, easy to miss.

We used to have a house in Hendersonville, near Ashville. I'd LOVE to join y'all for a meet, such a beautiful pair of states!

List of NC and SC Solstice owners who would like to get together....

Okay....

I would be willing to get the list of names and address.

I guess that would be needed 1st then determine a central location for a meet. We would have to come up with something interesting to do.

Considering this would be both SC and NC then it would probably have to be a overnight event because of travel time.

If you want to get on the list then send me your information in a PM and I will track all the information. After I get enough responses then I will ask for some input as to where folks would like to gather or come up with my own idea if no input.

Does anyone have a problem with this?

Sounds like you all know what to do... All new to me. I was just making suggestions to get some feedback. Nock yourselves out. Only been in this area since May, coming from MA. But I've traveled alot since I've been here. Charlotte is about 1hr 45 mins from me. Just tell me when & where, but if anyone needs any help, let me know.

Congratulations on the most important step in getting organized. I live in a desert (a beautiful desert, but still a desert), and my memories of the most beautiful drives in the US are in the Carolinas (where I was involved in a first-year Miata club). Best wishes with this.

I added your "club" to the list of all clubs at the following thread:
https://www.solsticeforum.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=21204

Please post more info to that thread when you have a final name, a complete list, etc.

I' am from NC. Does that count?

I would be interested in attending something in Charlotte, Myrtle Beach or somewhere else in NC, my mom lives in Fayetteville. I live in Augusta, GA which is just inside the state line of Georgia/SC. My sister lives in Charlotte and I go there very often to visit. Going this weekend as a matter of fact.

I would also be happy to help organize an event.

I haven't seen anyone else from Augusta on this forum? But there are some solstice owners around here.

Traded in 06' Sly for 07' Mean GXP!!!!

I don't see any problem having others interested in joining that don't live in NC or SC. I went to an event where most everyone was from GA. Just send me your information in a PM and I will put you on the list. And when the time comes for planning an event I will PM you......

I'm so Happy cousins are welcome!!

I'm glad to hear that 'cousins' from surrounding states (or commonwealths) would be welcome. I've been nick-named Cousin Fred by the NEO/PA group and had a great time at SOS in June. The 'heavy' golf season (tournaments)
is closing soon and any meet would be considered, - especially, Greensboro, Asheville, Charlotte, etc.
I'm sure a couple other Aggressives here in the 'Valley' would also be interested: Grammie 4 VT (and Keith too), and N2MY SOL.

S-C, I'll send you a pm with info

"Cousin" Fred

Aggressive/ebony - Loaded (all but Onstar, polished)
Vin: 9289

$500 Deposit 1-27-06, Delivered 2-3-06
Objects in my rearview mirror, keep getting smaller and smaller, really quick!!

Off to a good start!

I just wanted to let you know that we are off to a good start with a list of people interested.

Thanks for sending me your information.

I am looking into something that I think would be interesting for our 1st event.

The date I have in mind is Sept. 30th. It would be an overnight deal so keep that in mind.

When I get some details I will post them here.

No car yet but I am in to this. I should have it by October. Half of the fun of owning a Harley was the comroderie that was built through our local club so I can only assume owning a Sol will be the same. The sheer geography of the Carolina's will prove to be difficult but not impossible to overcome. Now this is bias because I live in Charlotte but wouldn't Charlotte be pretty centrally located to both states? It is literally minutes from the border of SC. I am up for helping out to get this started. Let me know what I can do.

So right, Fred. We would definitely be interested in joining in on the fun. Not necessarily being a member of the club (already a member of VA/MD Club), since we live in VA, but going to some of the CSC events.

CSC Ideas

I did some surfing & came up with some ideas. These are just suggestions & looking for feedback. Maybe folks that live in these areas can give more details or comments if they've been to any of these places. Personally I would go to Biltmore as I missed the other Sol trip when I went to Ohio. Or The Greensboro Military Park looks interesting. You drive through it & it has 8 different stops, etc...click on map of the park. Couldn't find much else in Charlotte. But hey I'm a huge race fan & Mooresville - Racing City USA is interesting too! Lots of shops & DEI is open on Sat's.
