Tallahassee here...I drive to Gainesville for every home Gator game...let me tell you, what a boring drive!

I'd probably come to a meet once a year or so out of town, but otherwise I am going to try and keep the mileage low. Especially highway mileage...every car we've had has had a clean front facia from in town driving, but as soon as you get on the interstate the rock chips and bug marks pile up. Not good for my baby!

It definitely would be cool to see a bunch of Sols together and if it was done soon before everybody knows what they are we are sure to draw a lot of attention. Of course, I actually have to GET my car first before I can come to a gathering. Where is it GM?

2006 Pontiac Solstice - VIN #25 6,000 mi
Deep with Steel/Sand; all options except XM and OnStar

2002 GMC Envoy SLT in Indigo Blue Metallic 104,000 mi
2006 Cadillac XLR in Infrared 26,000 mi

Upon looking at the map brentil posted (ashamed that I'm not more familiar with the shape of my own state) I retract my previous statement of Tampa being in the SOUTH category. It's definitely central. Here... I'll put up a pic of how I felt the sections were when he named them off.

edit: here it is... brentil named these four regions and this is what I thought of.

That's OK ... the State University system doesn't know any better either ... they put the University of South Florida in Tampa.

Sol Meetings

A meeting of Solstice owners would be great but we would not want to drive all the way to south Florida. We are in Pensacola up in the panhandle. Dori-san I would agree with yor map 100%. Maybe a meeting could be set up for the panhandle of Florida , south Alabama, and south Mississippi say within a 150 to 200 mile radius of Pensacola. The Mississippi gulf coast would be a great meeting place after it is rebuilt & hurricane season is over

Saint Petersburg, Florida

I live in Saint Petersburg, Florida. I put a deposit on a Cool Silver car with Black Cloth interior today and it is supposed to be delivered in two weeks. They said it was supposed to be in this week but deliveries were running about two weeks late. I hope to take it to the Turkey Rod Run in Daytona the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving.

I wouldn't let the dealer get your hopes too high. On the other hand I wouldhope you are correct. I am still waiting for #864. It was shipped Sept 21 to Ohio, then released from there October 3rd. It was scheduled to arrive on Oct 4th! As of yesterday it was going through Kentucky! I have heard it can take about 21-28 days for the shipment to come to Florida!

This car has high expectations to live up to after all of this!

First 1000 Order 2:34:17 VIN 864
Solstice is headed to Ft. Lauderdale
Mysterious, All Packages, Alum Wheels, and Options except Monsoon/6CD, On Star, XM

Auto Show in Motion

Hey, I'm not quite sure where to put this so this thread seemed as good as any. My friend told me about this auto show they have across the country in select cities where you can actually drive the cars (SOLSTICE, Corvette, GTO, etc). It's free to sign up and there's on comming up in ORLANDO. Here's the website.

I've been following this forum closely for 2 years and it's finally nice to be able to contribute some information.
