Still room as of Midnight:

I got registered...tonight, after only just now reading my emails of the day....
So there should be some room left.

I'm taking my wife, so the other car will have to make the trip....

Unless we ship the luggage, or they want the Solstice to make the trip..

Anyway, sounds like a good event.

I got the e-mail and I have an active order and am 2nd in my dealers 1st allocation. The order is in my name and has been "Crickified" (confirmed as active in the VOMS by our man CC) Don't have a clue why I got the invite and not planning on attending. Would love to see the cars though and ok would also like to tell Bob L. that I think he hit a grandslam although, he probably already has a sense he "done good" even without confirmation from me.

well. you could always join us at the club meeting on the same weekend, its not put on by gm, but its a hell of a lot cheaper! see the sticky in the "pacific" forum section for nore info.

OK - thanks for that clarification. I get about 100 spam a day, so I wasn't worried about that - it looked official enough and all. I glad that he passed the message along so I know what's happening out there. Thanks!

already booked my room for San Simeon and will see you there. The point of my rant was that the upper crust of GM ( not normal peon car owners like us ) will be sponsoring a large event that truly leaves us out. Whattsa matter GM, west coast not good enough?

Well...

I looked into it. I was REALLY thinking of going, but I already have flights and accomodations to get together with relatives on that weekend. Something I can't get out of...

I love the Concours d'Elegance at Cranbrook here in MI, and was looking forward to maybe seeing the show at Hilton Head, seeing as I've never stayed there.

(admittedly, also trying to see if I could get some really good insider information since it looks like we get to talk with Lutz... )

I called the number and found out that not only Solstice "owners" but people who have ordered but not yet recieved their Solstice ("waiting") are eligible to attend, too.

Who else is going or interested?

I haven't registered yet, but if there are still slots open when I call tomorrow, I have decided to do it. I'll give you an update tomorrow on whether or not I got in.

I figure if I don't go just because my car isn't here, I'll end up regreting the missed oportunity, so I've decided to give it a try.

Well, I did the online registration this morning, so I guess I'm going!

Still wish I could bring my Solstice, but.... no word on delivery yet.
